Just wanted to say thanks to this place for exsisting! I'm a newcomer to vaping. I tried a couple of the gas station e-cigs in the past year with the hope that it would be a springboard to quitting the traditional killers but they were only so-so at best. Recently I spotted a new store in my area called "freedomsmokeUSA" and stopped in to see what was up. Well long story short I purchased an ego twist & an atomizer/drip tip combo along with some basic juice @24mg. That was 2 weeks ago and I've not touched a "killer" since.

Upgraded to a vivi nova clearomizer a few days ago and am loving it!! I smoked for 20+ years and truely believe I've found my savior from it!! I'll soon be grabbing a 2nd twist battery (probably 1000mah instead of another 650mah) just to make sure I'm always prepared and not inclined to grab a "killer".

couple questions(of course;)
I've only used the factory installed coil head/wick that came with my nova(2.5 ohm?) and I know it came with 2 additional ones. What is the difference? and what is the best head to go with my nova??

thanks again for the info this site has already provided me and thank in advance for any assistance with my questions.

first off I second onehitter's sentiments on finding this site. the community here in addition to the knowledge of products I think is going to be enough for me to finally kick the nasty habit of smoking ( I've been a part time vaper for a few years but was never fully satisfied)

I have not personally used a vivi nova but from what I have read on reviews and seen on suppliers sites I believe the replacement coils should be the same ohm rating just back ups for when the first stops working. (can any more experienced vapers confirm this?)

as far as best head, in the words of many on here "experiment" everyone has different tastes and likes/dislikes a lower ohm (1.5)will produce more vapor and warmer Throat Hit typically, while the higher ohm (3.0) will enable to enjoy the full range of your VV mod. 1.5ohm will only hold up to a max of 4.0-4.2V before getting too hot and scorching your juice (burnt taste) or breaking the coil. 3.0ohm will should have no trouble handling all the way up to 6.0V (I was using a 3ohm tank carto on my VV mod and it worked well all the way to 6V)

Hi onehitter and welcome to ECF. Congrats on 2 weeks

Because the Twist fires from 3.2 volts to 4.8 volts the 2.4 ohms is best for the higher ranges (4- 4.8 volts). 2.8 ohms is meant more for higher voltage PVs. The 1.8 ohms is generally good from 3.2- 4 volts. Try attaching the heads and slowly move the voltage up until you find your "sweet spot".
Here's an ohms to volts chart that has "general" settings and notes:

Realize many of these ohms devices are not exactly as advertised- my 1,8 ohms head measures out at 2.1 ohms. Some juices taste better at higher and others at lower voltage.
Here's a pic showing how to identify the ohms on the head

Thanks guys. Its so nice to know that there are experienced people willing to pass along info which will probably save me time, money and frustration.

So far I'm really enjoying my twist/nova set up. I think its about due for a cleaning (3 refills burned thru). I've seen some good tutorials on cleaning the nova so I think I can handle that OK. One thing though, when drying out the pieces is there any danger in using compressed air to blow out excess water and speed the dry time? obviously I'd keep it dialed down below 20psi but even at low pressure is there any danger of damaging things by this method?
