WOW! This is it for me ladies and gentleman. So good. I really hope I can go back to 3.7 eventually. I'd hate to see those 18650's go to waste. Also these cartos from madvapes are fantastic. MMmmmm.

Are there some juices that just vape better at 3.7? When do I use which? Is this strictly a preference thing?

I can't speak from experience, but my guess is that you can probably vape nearly every juice at that voltage, but with different resistance atomizers/cartomizers. So when you're using an unregulated device, then you tweak your juice and atty resistance to fine your nirvana. And yes...It really is based upon preference. I also guess that your sweeter juices will do better at 3.7...but on 2.0Ωish atties.

I'm really glad you have found a new dimension in vaping at 6v. I've been resistant to anything other than 14500....then the 18490s. Now I'm loving my VV. I'm sure I'll try 6v someday...but for now, i'm good.

Yea, I can definitely tell a difference between high volts on my provari (5.6v w/ 2.5ohm carto tank) and the Reo (3.7v 1.7ohm rejuvinator) vaping KBV waffles and could definitely taste the sweeter undertones at 3.7v which i couldn't on the provari set-up...I'll probably venture into the higher volts at some point, but glad to hear it's a pleasant experience!

I have been rocking my grand at 6v almost exclusively since December with a 3ohm HH. 357. I love this setup so much! However I know that I will like to be able to wind different ohm coils to try at different voltages on my vv grand. I know I love 2.5 ohm @ 5.5v. I thought about trying the super short cartos but I prefer atties and I am getting super long run times out of them. I am glad they are working well for you though

theywillnotsing, do what I did, get a dual 18650 VV box mod setup and vape at 6v to your hearts content, while still tweaking the voltage/wattage to your sweetspot.

nf20ae, I would hope that you could tell the difference between those two setups, because the Provari combo puts out a whopping 12+ watts of total power while the Reo combo you have listed puts out only 8+ watts of total power. About 50% more overall with the Provari. For you to get the same vape as you do with your Reo (or a bit more), you would need to put a 4 ohm carto on the Provari at 5.6 ohm, or dial back the Provari to 4.5. the end result will be about 8 watts of power and you will be able to taste the sweetness etc in your juice that you are missing with the higher powered combo.

I been Grand at 6 volts for a few weeks now with 3ohm 306 and 3.5ohm 510 and i really like the 3.5ohm 510 my juice taste good with it

Tried the PV hype on both the 6 volts 3.5 ohm carto and the 3.7 volt 1.7 ohm and the sweetness definitely comes through more on the 3.7. Delicious both ways honestly, but in strangely different ways. Also, I don't know if it's the lower resistance cartos or what, but the 3.7 volts actually felt hotter which surprised me. Much bigger throat hit with the 6 volts though. I dunno. Kind of a toss up really. I guess I'll have to keep vaping for science. Dammit, right?

When I had my Grand I really enjoyed it at 6V with a 3.8 Ohm IKV 801 shortie attie with a stealth 510 to 801 adapter. You should really try Johnson Creeks "Island" flavored ejuice with that combo, it tastes EXACTLY like white Lifesavers. Good luck with your Ohm/Voltage/Res. experiments!!!

I found 3.7v just wasn't enough for me now I only do HV Grande @ 4.8v and Mini @ 6v and loving it

Thats cool, how long have you been running that set-up?
I ask because every time I try something hotter or newer I think its "the one" but after a few weeks or months I'm right back to 3.7 with a Cisco 1.5Ω atty.

I've had at least a dozen set-ups that I swore would replace my tried and true but I always go back.
There are always trade offs with each of them and it takes time to make a true evaluation.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad you found something that has you so excited about vaping.

And yes I think every specific juice has its favorite set up as well.
So many variables. Some juices just suck on cartomizers and only work on attys IMO.
Others vape great on a fresh batt but the drop off is too quick to keep the juice alive.
Some juices do it all but they taste different every voltage and atty/carto combo. Still good every way though.
I tend to stick with juices that I find versatile in that way.
