So I went into a local smoke shop...

Whose website said they sold e-liquids and various brands of vape hardware. Was in kind of a hurry but checked out their display and they had ego twist batteries, Protanks IIs and Minis and a few other brands I recognized. Behind their display they had their juice. This is the first smoke shop around here I've been into that sold more than inexpensive pre-filled cartridges and I decided to buy a bottle of juice to try and support them. He brought out his folder that listed brands and flavors and hurriedly picked out a simple peach flavor. I wasn't familiar with any of their brands but I'm pretty new to this. The guy assured me that it was 100% vg and I said oh good, lots of vapor! Paid for it and threw it in my purse and continued on my way.

Got home a while later, took the little box out of my purse and opened it and hmmm, it seems rather thin for a 100% vg juice. More like an 80/20 as a matter of fact. I looked at the box and under the brand name it said "Ultra Premium Hookah Flavored e-liquid". Went on their website and yeah, they specialize in hookah. Kinda did a mental facepalm and decided that buying stuff in a hurry was probably a bad idea lol.

My question is, can I actually use this stuff in say a mini-protank on an ego battery or even my MVP? I won't return it but at the same time wouldn't mind using it if I was able to. Read the directions on it and it simply says fill your tank to the desired ml line and then goes on to say follow your manufacturers instructions.

E-hookahs are essentially the same as the vape gear we use. eGo batteries are sold as "hookah pens", so yes, you should still be able to use it. It may have extra flavor in it, hookah juices sometimes do.

If you aren't too far from the vape shop, you should at least go back and let him know that he made a mistake, so that he doesn't make the same mistake again. Who knows, he may even decide to cut you a break on your next purchase or something.

I would give the juice a try, who knows, you might end up adding it to your regular rotation.

Thank you for your response. It's good to know that *hopefully* it won't go to waste. Extra flavor after smoking for as long as I did, at this point, is probably not a bad thing. My taste buds are still recovering :).

I will probably go back in and do as you suggested when I have more time and take a closer look at what he has, and ask more questions. Like you said, maybe he'll cut me a break.

It's my "guess" that its the same type of e-liquid base and flavorings that our e-liquids use. If it is indeed 100% Vg, it's not uncommon for some e-liquid mixers to thin their Vg down with alcohol or water.

Well I smelled it and couldn't detect any alcohol scent. Just a strong, pleasant peach smell. Hopefully it's just diluted with water. I'll give it a try in a bit and see how it is.

I will not spend another penny in a brick and mortar store that doesnt mix its own juices. I can drive an hour to Houston and get top notch service or 2 hours to lafayette LA and get dirt cheap hand mixed juices.

I want to buy from folks that are crazy about vaping, not just trying to make a buck.

:blink:Just checking though Baditude, wouldn't that make it NOT 100% Vg then?

I'm not totally new to this, but I'd like to verify what the consensus is on this since I know that you have been at this for a lot longer (your advice has actually helped me make decisions on things a couple of times). I have a buddy that vapes 100% Vg, but mixes in about 15-20% flavor and sweetener. I've been telling him that that would make it like 80/20 or so. Have I been incorrect in saying this?

I purchased e-hookah liquid once before, from a local smoke shop who sold products by a known e-hookah company. At first I was leery of trying it, but after some research on the site, I determined it was fine to use in my e-cig. And, even though it didn't say on the bottle, a little more digging revealed that it was 100% VG. Is there a label with the vendor name on it?

I have a 12ml of "imperial hookah liquid" rated at 16mg...i don't know if there is citrus in it and I don't want to destroy my tank. Is it worth trying it? A friend gave it to me because he doesn't use e cigs, it just came with his g pen

That's the brand I have--any citrus can ruin a tank, regardless. The grape I have is fine to use.

Usually, when one says 100% VG or when we say 80/20 mix, it is strictly referring to the amounts of VG/PG in the mix, not taking in account the flavorings/alcohol/water or whatever else. This is done usually for those who are sensitive to or has an allergy to one or the other. Just like when you buy 100% VG juice online, it of cores has flavorings and might be thinned out with something like alcohol or water, but its still called 100% VG juice.

It's called VitaminSmoke. I can puff my daily vitamins :D. I had one more disposable esmart clearo and decided to just throw it in there. It actually ended up being quite a bit thicker than I had anticipated. When my 808d battery is finished charging I'll try it. I'm thinking it should be fine.

I am waiting to hear how this worked out for you!!!

I don't think that's the case - if it's 15% flavoring and the flavoring is PG-based, that shouldn't be referred to as "all VG".
They're less common, but there are flavorings that are not PG-based...
If you DIY and use a calculator, that's one of the benefits - it lets you indicate that your flavorings are PG (or not) and takes their amount into account as you target a PG/VG ratio.
(Now it certainly can effectively ignore the few molecules of a flavor concentrate that are actually FLAVOR, and not dilutant...say it's 99.9% VG, because there's some "essence of peach" in there somewhere...but coming from a VG-based flavor concentrate)

Sorry, little late reply, I think this post bumped past me while I was napping. Well I tried it this morning and it tasted...peachy! Lol. It was actually less sweet and artificial in flavor than I thought it would be. Not bad really. I love fruit juices of almost any type as long as they aren't too sweet so I think I will be keeping this one.

I seriously doubt your buddy is vaping 100% VG unless he found a way to make something close to the constancy of jelly flow through a wick. VG is always diluted.
