hello to everyone. hmmmmm i started vaping a few months ago when a friend bought me an ego-t instead of the pre-filled cartridge cigarette look a like ones. was happy with it at first but then reaserch and it leaking and cracking on me led to buying more things. At the moment i have a couple of 1200mah batteries, vivanovo, kanger pro and kanger mega aero tanks. the vivanovo tanks i found not that great and they seemed to crack after a short time and the pro tank doesnt give me enough of a hit but i found the aero tank mega to be really solid and works well. my question would be is there any way to modify the aero tank to work more efficiently or produce more vapor? i also have some 2200mah batteries on the way but does that mean they will run at a higher voltage? basically im asking peoples opinion on what would be a good next step to tank into this hobby as it is becoming to be

Time to upgrade to a replaceable battery mod like a vamo or e-lvt2 or svd2


the 2200mah batteries will run almost twice as long as the 1200mah batteries before needing to recharge

mah is capacity, not "speed"/voltage. Like size of the fuel tank, not how fast the car goes.

Voltage is set by the electronics in a VV/VW device, fixed in a non-vv device, or is just "raw battery charge" with a mech.

The way to increase wattage/heat on a mech or on a fixed voltage battery is to reduce the ohms of the coil in the "head"/Tank/Topper. Lower ohms = more heat per volt.

Tell me again exactly what devices you have or have ordered.

If they have a dial to set voltage, that's what you use to change the heat.
If they are fixed voltage, you change the heat by selecting different ohm coils. Lower ohms = hotter. So if you have 2.0 ohm coils now, select 1.8 or even 1.5 ohms to make it hotter. However, there's limits as to what a particular device can handle.

Basically, we need specifics...exact make/model of battery. Also what ohms you are using now. Then we can "do the math" to help you.

Aerotank coil peeps will have to comment further on this....I'm doing some guesswork on this due to the exact phrasing of that answer. Let's see, I'm guessing that it's dual coil and it TOTALS .8 ohms. That's two 1.6 ohm coils...which comes out to .8 ohms when you run both in parallel.

And that's your issue. You won't get enough amps out of that eGo device to give you the power you need for dual coils. You will be real happy with single coils on that device.

When you run dual coils, you need to double the amps (or watts, however you want to think about it). So if you had a single coil you'd run at 7 watts, for dual coil you'd need 14 watts. Since voltage is "fixed' at 3.7 volts...and watts are volts X amps....you can see that you'd double the amps to double the watts (voltage stays the same).

You don't need dual coils to get a lot of vapor. Dual coils can produce more vapor at a lower temp...to a point. But a 1.8 ohm coil on that device, will still give you good results with longer battery life too.

Others with this setup may be able to provide more help. IDK the amp limits on eGo's these days either.

So in the end, you wind up dropping a coil, increasing the NET ohms...lol. But really, you end up with a hotter coil. You were spreading the available power around too thinly and getting a poor vape. (When I said reduce ohms, I didn't know you were using dual coils).

Hope this helps some and steers the conversation in the right direction.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on kickin the stinkies!!! (assuming you were a smoker) Did you mean vivi nova tanks? If those are cracking, what type of juices are you using? I loved those tanks and even more like the bottom coil ones. Very inexpensive and easy to use. they do have glass ones in the bottom coil line. Genuine Aspire BDC Vivi Nova - S Clearomizer - Rock Bottom Vapes!

The aspire nautilus is also a good tank but more expensive, and fairly fragile unless you get the stainless mesh over the tanks (separately) even more expense.

Any other tank works fine on the 2200mah battery just not the aerotank. I used it on that battery with 2 different ones now after charging them thus has happened. Any ideas?

If it is an evod type connection, you may be able to take a pair of tweezers and gently pull the tip of the coil head out a little so it will contact the battery pin when screwed back on.

You can probably gently pry the center pin up on your 2200 battery with a paperclip, toothpick or small screwdriver, just make sure it's off. Alternately, take the aerotank apart and remove the atomizer head and clean the base and put it back in, sometimes that works. In either case, you're probably going to have some issues when switching from the 1200 to the 2200 every now and then, the center pin on the 1200 is probably set a little higher than the 2200. It can push the center pin on the aero up just enough to make it where it's not contacting the pin on the 2200.

What version of the protank do you have? If it's the 1 or 2 it should be a single coil, put one of the aerotank bases on it with the single coil and you might like it better. The aerotank is a dual coil, as it the protank 3, I've not had much luck with the spinner type batteries driving the dual coil rigs. You might even try a single coil around 1.8 to 2.2 ohm in the aerotank, not sure it will work in the mega, I use them all the time in a V1 aerotank with no problems though.
