I wanted to try these out so I placed an order.
Bought my syringe, and I bought one of the the Stormy E2 V4 3 ohm, and a pack of the basic clearomizers 3.2 ohm packs.

Tried stormy first, and didnt taste good at all. Burnt taste, no clavor really. Normal carts much better, but it does seem to produce more vapor.

Next tried the basic clearomizer.
This time I dropped a couple drops of juice on the coil that heats up when I was filling it.
Got it all back together, took some puffs and was like wow thats different for sure.

Once a puffed a few times, the taste turned to the burnt flavorless taste my stormy has.

So is there something I can be doing wrong?

Tried a dry burn, tilting the mod so juice runs up, leaving it so jucice doesnt run up, and each way same result.

Only thing I did notice is that if I just take a drag or two with the basic clearomizer and then let it sit a bit, and try again a few minutes later the taste is better. THe stormy it doesnt matter.

any advice is appreciated on this

May help to know what device/volts you're using^

I can't help as I'm having the same problems, although I don't have a stormy yet *sad, i did use the 2.8 clearomizers and i can't get rid of the burny taste.

and sorry to hijack but maybe we can both get help/troubleshoot with others?

another thread I asked about ohm for an eGo and a 3.7

so i get the 2.8 for my ego and 3.7 as mentioned, and it was like i was vaping fire :O my lips, mouth and throat just burned soooo bad ?? (both eGo and 3.7 mod) i let it sit a while and all night it was like that, i gave up and went back to a carto.

so i take another out and try a dry burn, same. i let them sit overnight to wick up and cuz it was just that bad..try the next day and same thing, nasty taste and inhaling fire feeling. tried another with a lighter juice and same deal.

like said i'm new on the whole ohm thing, but just thinking on what could be wrong (with me lol), i ordered the 3.2 and it works perfect on both for a few hits, then it's back to burnt taste. my husband uses both on his 5v and likes it wth?

~so is it just personal pref. or am i just insane?(jury's out lol)
i'm chomping at the bit for when the storm and map are available again and now not sure what ohm to get. storm is just 3.2 so i thought that was out of the equation for me at least with eGo? i'm wondering now if the 3.2 since the clearos work better for me? so confused on what to do :( so tired of leaky cartos.

i'm running a 2.8 map at 5.2v and its awesome.
i've also used the stormi at 5v and its very good.

ohms aside, these cartos do seem to run hotter than regular cartos or atty. that said, i'm very confident that is has to do with wicking issues.

on the stormi, its possible that the rubber top may have gone down too far on the carto, preventing it from wicking.

I had no luck with the 4ml Storm Tank mod but the 2ml one works great for me. I use a ProVari and find I can't go much higher than 4.2 volts without wicking issues using the 3.2Ω version. Two things I've found that help are to always lay your mod on it's side when not in use and, more importantly, don't fill it up completely. For some reason these things work better as the juice gets used up. A lot of people give up after the first few toots but just keep going and you'll be amazed at how much better they work after the first 1/4 ml gets used up.
Haven't got a MAP yet but hopefully I will when Bruce gets them back in.

I have had a few that seem to take awhile to break in! The burning could just be the juice as well. Usually, the burnt taste is too many volts. I remember forcing myself to get used to these things, my throat felt burnt the first day! LOL I didn't give up and I love them now.
Does the coil look gunned up with black crud? If so, rinse it out and do a dry burn. If it comes back, it's probably the voltage.
@Pete what's up with the 4ml tank? It should work as well as any.
Im convinced they all have a mind of their own. I had to start marking ohms on mine because sometimes they all vape the same. I'm using a Mini tank right now with a 2.4 ohm on my Riva, it vapes great! I'm really starting to like the small ones now.
Ten I have a 3.2 on my Riva and it hits as well and seem as hot as the 2.4. They're all possessed!

I really don't know why I couldn't get the 4ml tank to work well for me. I'm still a little confused on how to put it together I think. All three silicone caps aren't used, right? The base of the black drip tip fits over the ceramic, right? I don't know, I guess I'm dense!! I absolutely love and worship the 2ml mod though!! Like you said, these things have a mind of their own. It's like one minute I put a freshly filled one on and it tastes a bit funky and 2 minutes later it's blowing vapor like a steam engine.

Stormy, I just noticed that you live in Georgia. I hope you can make it to Vapestock cuz we're going have a blast on the beach!

that's what confuses me, i read so many vape 2.4 clearomizers on an eGo but I had a 2.6 and a 2.8 and  fire..hot!
3.0 wasn't so bad, which is strange to me, should be opposite shouldn't it?

ejoker is running a 2.8 on a 5V, which is what i was told to get for my eGo and 3.7 mod
...so, i should get what ohm? lower the ohms the hotter right? so confused by these

JD408, i'd really like to know what device you use

storminyte, no crud on mine, both were new..one dry burned one not. different juices were tried since my coffee likes to kill cartos so i tried a clear one.
after i went through the nasty, 2nd fill seemed ok but wicking isn't so great.

That is very strange that they were vaping that hot. I was told that the 2.8 ones are the best for the egos and was going to buy a set of those next until I decided to buy an infinity next month. I figure that maybe the 3.0 or what have you might be better on it, but now I am a little unsure.

Last night I refilled one that I have been constantly using. After about five puffs it tasted like burnt carto. I know it still works and I am hoping that it will be ok after I clean it.

And I cleaned all mine and let them dry before I used them. There wasn't an icky taste to them.

I read on one of these threads that the ohms on these were the opposite of attys. I have 2.4 and 2.8 and it seems like a hit or miss. Problems with wicking and burning on some but not all. After a good cleaning tho, it seems to clear up. And I widen the rubber slit where the wicking goes and that helps a lot. When they work right can't say enuff good about them. It will just take some fiddleing around and some patience. I think it is worth it cause the vapor is thick and very nice and the flavor comes through really clean.
my 2 cents

I read the following "Warning!!" post last night. Can't seem to find it ANYWHERE today. It was posted by an Australian member, his first post. And what a post it was. Had several pix of three cracked and broken Clearo's. He also provided links to the site that he had purchased the juice that he thought had caused his problem with the Clearo's. I have no idea where this "Warning!!" thread has gone. All I know is I don't have authority to delete threads. Can't imagine why anybody would gain by keeping this kind of information from being public. JMHO

Warning!! Concentrates can melt clearomizers (PICS)

Cheers,
