Theres a thread on model type specific kr808d-1. There you should find answers to allmost all you can think of.
But can tell you here, that there are several different types like kr808d-1p and 808d-2 and others.
Stick with the d-1, would be my advice. Thats the one most vendors sell, and have heard from several that tried both, that they like the d-1 better..
So go with d-1 or you'll make things a lot more difficult for yourself.
If your gonne go the kr808 way, go tjeck out Bloog's new maxxfusion. Thats the newest updated d-1 with higher mAh in same size batts. Thats the one I'm getting next. They claim to have ironed out the most irritating flaws( witch every PV has) Like cartos that burn and selfactivating autos and so on.. They cost a little more though. I use adapters for my ego, to have a big batt option as backup, but when it dies I'll deffo just get the pigcig..

You can use the chargers you've got, if you get adapters. I started with 510 so instead of getting new chargers, I got those. Adapters are annoing if you use them for diff batt types on diff cartos and such, but with chargers, I just leave them in all the time, so its no hassle. Just like having kr8 chargers..

and I'll STILL disagree...

lets take the basic KR8 battery... 280mAh right?.... that'll give us about a .28A max drain rate.... (that's mAh rating in A times the C rating for those following at home)

a 3Ω carto at 3.7V has an amp draw of 1.23A... (voltage divided by resistance)

so if a carto is calling for 1.23A and at maximum the battery can only deliver .28A the only thing that can happen (since the resistance is fixed) is sag in voltage so the max drain rate and amp draw fall in line with each other...
or they have to use some sort of PMW in them as well..

Oh dude!! U got me.. I don't know anything about that.:p
I measured mine when NOt under a load and red the thread about voltagedrop when under. Compared that to my own experience when using the two devices. Fact is that ego measures out to 3,7 and kr8 to 4,2 when not in use.
When in use, kr8 stays at same performance level up til like 5 mins before Led blinks. The ego deminishes after like an hour, and so you have several hours of blandness( is that a word) until it dies.. Use 808 cartos on them both. That tells me kr8 keeps a higher voltage performance. So those are my credentials for my claim..
Theres a very noticable difference in the two, when using them. If u wanna discus intricate details, I'm not your gal..
