So much has changed!

Hi everybody. I originally got into vaping circa 2009 but lost interest a couple of years later. I've recently gotten back into the vaping community and have been completely overwhelmed by everything that's changed over the years. The liquids available these days are blowing my mind, as are the myriad of new terminology to learn!

Back then, everything was just simpler, to be honest, though we waded through a lot of crap products and experiments because most of the companies were still finding their way. For the old timers here, I'll just throw out that my first kit was purchased from Pure Smoker, which I found via ECF (thank you). I haven't kept up on them, but I read somewhere that they folded a couple of years ago, the owner deciding to shed the drama and open a brick and mortar in Kentucky or some place.

Anyway, I walked into a local vape shop the other day (speaking of things that didn't exist 6 years ago) and basically had to present myself as a complete beginner because I had no concept of the variable-wattage, variable-voltage, variable-airflow world we live in now. I'm blown away by the availability of battery packs that last multiple days, and by the sheer breadth of juice flavors out there now.

There's never been a better time to be a vaper. I've come home :)

Back when I started we didn't call it vaping, we just picked leaves off the ground, rolled them up and smoked it. Tanks were things we used during the war. Nobody I knew inhaled cookies and cream or peach cobbler like a bunch of sissies. What is it with these things you call mods? Mods in my day played in bands like The Who...before they started smashing their guitars. Kids.

You're right, it's a great time for vaping. Let's keep it that way.

Puresmoker. Now there's a name I've not heard in a long time. My first "kit" was from n-joy, but Steve at PS soon became my go-to juice supplier when I discovered their kick-{Moderated} menthol called minthia. I hope he's doing ok because he was a great supplier.
I still get my batts and some tanks from pillbox38 AKA totally wicked, also one of the first guys on here, who is obviously doing ok. I make my own kick-a** menthol juice now using Wizard labs. I'm still using ego-type batts and could not be happier. An analog is the furthest thing from my mind.

Glad you came back.

Started back when the only place I knew to purchase ecigs and juice was HealthCabin dot net. Pen styles and very limited selection of juices. Admittedly, now there seem to be far to many juice makers to keep track of. This became especially clear when I moved from LA to GA and none of the manufactures I'm used to vapeing are distributed here. Oh well, good thing I stocked up before the move.

Ha! My story almost exactly! Started in early 2009, went back to stinkies in 2011 and came back to vaping this past November. However, this time around I'm analog free because this time I really wanted to quit.

Puresmoker, huh? Me too. In fact, since I've been back to vaping I've yet to buy a new mod. Got myself some new batteries, a few cheap but so far excellent tanks (no such thing as a tank back then, cartomizers were the state of the art) and I'm happily vaping on a 6V Prodigy 3.1 mech with 3 ohm replaceable BVC's. Plenty good enough to keep me off of cigarettes. Sure, I'm going to get in on one or two VW mods (I love the looks and features of the SX Mini best so far), but I'm not in any pressing hurry. I'm just biding time learning all I can before I decide what I want.

Welcome back!
