To piggyback that question...can you use the guts from a Clearo? I have several that cracked & the innards are still good...

If it helps any I know you can't use the clearomizers on a MAP Tank the knurled bottom part is just a hair too big to fit, and there is not enough base to provide good support.
I'm not sure how people are cracking these I have been using the same one for the last 2 week

I think they have microcracks from when the tubing was cut. The two cracked ones I have were barely used. The other 5 I've used have no problems.

Yes, it's a cut the xl but you need to use the piece of tubing that's on the original one for it to fit back in. As for using the Clearomizers I did not have good luck with the one I tried. Let me play around with it and let you know. I know when I removed it, it damaged the o ring in it. But, I'll try again. I don't know why it wouldn't work but maybe just not be able to repeatedly remove and replace.
Hey storminyte
Question on your cut CE2's for the storm tank, are they just a standard 510 CE2 XL that you have cut ?

Thanks for getting back on this I tought that is all they were. COV has not had the 510 E2's in 2.8ohm or would of just bought those, I need them for a MAP. I find that the base with O ring on the clearomizers is just a little bigger then the normal E2's.
Thanks again

After several tries and trashed CE2's, I can't get it to work in the storm tanks. It's just not sturdy enough. When you shorten the plastic stock tube, it just wants to fall off with very little pressure. I can't recommend these for this mod unless someone can come up with another solution.
On the other, I did try one in the first tube mod and will report back the results. So far, its working well. This might be a solution for salvaging the innards of damaged tubes.
