A while back I posted about my dad not wanting to start vaping and such, Now he's getting sick of the coffin nails and he wants to transition over to the vape world! I've been talking to him and I know as of now he's looking into VV/VW mods, No box mods like the MVP or VTR, Tube mod, telescoping just for the ease of use. I know everything about VV/VW and can show him how to use it but I haven't been using my SVD ever since I got my Nemesis and my GeerageBox mechanical Boxmod.

Can anyone throw out some suggestions and give me some feedback on why? Any help would be greatly appreciated Im so excited that my Dad wants to finally switch over I want him to have the best experience right off the bat. Money isn't really an issue but lets not talk about Hana's or dna's here Lol

Mahalo Nui Loa!

sounds to me like you have some spare gear you liked at one point. i say PIF it to dad and get him started. as he progresses and learns what he likes and his comfort zone, you'll have a better idea what direction to take him in with future gear at a lesser cost. you could always get your old gear back if he quits using it and reuse it in another PIF quit attempt for someone else later... or he could PIF to someone he can help when he's all set up.

no better way to know a persons needs then to get them started in the first place. we can hash it out all day and think we've got our bases covered, then you may wind up putting out money only to realize what you have laying around was what he wanted in the first place.

I offered to give him my old SVD and I have it setup ready to go for him as we speak. I feel like he Just wants to order something for himself and Idk why I think thats just his way of doing things. If he's going to do something he's going to go full bore into it. Im going to try and offer it to him tonight but the thing is my tanks I have are shot from sitting for so long with the old juice in there. We are going to be going to get our fishing licenses for this weekend tmrw so Im going to see if he would like to head out to the vape shop to grab himself a new tank to throw onto my SVD with some juice to start him off with.

Other than that any other suggestions for him to try out? I feel like he's set on buying something new.

Vamos are super easy. They have 510 and Ego threading, read ohms, read battery level, vv/vw, 350 or 650, etc. so I think that could be a great place to start. Not a Provari but a great device at a great price to see if he wants to stick with a tube vv mod.

It is big enough to rock a Nautilus, any Protank, and the smaller Evod/PTMinis don't look foolish on them either.

Do you have a local B&M where you live? Vaping is really a matter of personal choice. What you love, he might think sucks. IF you can take him to a B&M he can see what they have to offer and make his own decision. It also depends on how much money he want's to spend as well, but most B&M's have a pretty good selection ranging from cheap 50 dollar devices up to 200 dollar or more devices. I have been thinking of getting a "P word" myself, but I'm so addicted to my cheap little K100 that I just haven't gotten around to changing for now.

other than telescoping, everything in your first post seems to point to a prothingy to me, personally.

best experience
going fishing (might get wet or dropped)
variable
not a box
money not an object

to go with that i'd make sure he gets a couple toppers including an ibtanked tank. to go with that tank, i'd make sure he gets a couple of each boge, smok and ikenvape nitro cartos (filler and fillerless) so he can find which works best for him.

i, personally tend to start all my newbies off with an mvp and ibtanked. it just works with very little introductory explanation and a short walk through on priming. even my mom, step dad and dad, so i've been where you're at.

Hey. Don't be throwing complicated VV mods with menu systems 10 screens deep at the poor guy. There's time for all that later. A Spinner or Twist should be fine for now if it absolutely needs to be VV. :)

Thing is though, He doesn't want that no matter how much I told him about the Vision spinner 1300 Lol. Tried that route and he wants something beefier for his job. He does property restoration and he goes all over the place from Casinos/Hotels Houses Companies/Warehouses etc. He needs something that will be able to handle a bump or two, and still give him the best vape he could possibly have.

I've been discussing with him about all sorts of options but he seems drawn to the VV/VW tube mods. I know for fact that he's the kind of person that goes by " if it aint broke don't fix it " kind of style. So once I setup the mod with the tank to his liking I know he will be set with it the way it is. He's tech savvy and I'm not too worried about him having any problems with it, He reads the instructions :p I just want him to get the best possible vape thats out there. " Whatever you think is good I'll get it " me - " The Vision spinner is a good start with a kanger protank 2, I can rebuild it as we.. " Dad- " what about the Sig-eh-lee" Lol

Yeah I thought about the Vamo but my brother had a V3 and that thing was epic huge. I mean It's a little too huge for a vape. It's like a lightsaber, and I thought my SVD was big in 650 Lol. Leaning towards the Zmax V5 - Sigelei 20W or the E-LVT water resistant vaporizer.

dunno about the e-lvt. all i know about it is it isn't waterproof thanks to the review and show and tell done by p.opus.

Yeah I've been Telling him about the Provari, I just don't know if he would want to go that far. Even though at this point, He's willing to try anything I have to offer to get off the stinkies which I am glad to hear. I want him to have the best experience he can get as I've said, Maybe the Provari is the way to go. I tried giving him the simple ways of doing it which obviously has worked for all of us, he just wants to go balls deep with it.

Resistant, not proof Lol. I'll throw the idea of the provari at him tomorrow. We might be able to stop by a local b&m tomorrow so that he can have something to hold in his hand to get the feel of it. I just don't want him to buy a mod and spend an upcharge on something he and I know we can get cheaper online.

I run my Vamo V5 in 18350 mode, in 18650 it does seem big but they all do. The Zmax V5 would be a good choice as well, the Sigelei 20W would be overkill. Was suggesting the Vamo because you can pic one up for like $40.
