So my friend says that the14500 (imr) is getting him through 12 hours... And he says he can't feel a drop in performance and then it just dies. I told him not to do that cuz I am worried he may be overdischarging his batts. Can someone with mini experience please chime in? He is using a 1.8 ohm atty. Thanks

Sent from my Apple II. What?! I keeps it old school!

Hi Sammy :) I think he'll be fine. It takes a little while to get to know the battery/atty dynamic. Its probably safer for him to just replace the battery when he gets through half the bottle. :)

Many many people suffer under the old behaviour of Nimhd Batteries with memory effect. These are LiIon or LiMgn batteries, which have no problems to get a little push up charge during the day. They can only die to early, when they got drained empty.

I give my batteries in the office always a little push, when there is no time for vaping. During a meeting, during lunch, and so on. In that way 14500 batteries are no longer "to small batteries for a heavy vaper".

The AW IMR batts in my Mini and Grand always give me ample warning of low voltage because the vapor production drops dramatically. The more I vape, the more sensitive I become to a drop in vapor production.

What usually scares me is when an atty dies. The first thing I think is I screwed up my batt because I get no vapor at all from a draw. I was probably one of the great atty killers at one time and it got expensive.

Thanks all for the replies. I am not sure what he is experiencing for I only can talk to him on the phone at this point. He is not a new vaper, but he has been using kr808s for like, gosh, 8 months now. He switched right after I did. I tried to talk him in to getting a reo but I guess it took him a while longer than most to get fed up with messin. He still is a bit on the strange side with vaping. I remember he had a dickens of a time with burning up carto filler... Apparently he couldnt taste a difference

He just doesn't have a "refined palate" Seriously, tell him that unlike batteries for most things, these batteries should not be run down until they die, and it will shorten their life.

If he changes the battery about half way through the 3 ml of juice, he will get much better longevity from his batteries. Sounds like you just need to tell him to do that.

There is also a chance that he is damaging the batteries, and he is increasing the chance of an uncontrolled discharge.
