oh boy oh boy she let me get both!! im gettin new toys yippeeee!!!!

ok so on a side note - ive been playing with that power calculator and think i confused myself.... im no good at math and cuz of that im also not good with circuit design. lets see if i can word this the right way - it appears that it takes less power (amps) to push a higher ohm coil at a higher voltage then a lower ohm coil at a lower voltage to get the same wattage? for example with say nova coils
a 1.8 ohm coil at 4 volts comes out to 8.8 watts but 2.2 amps
a 2.4 ohm coil at 4.6 volts also comes out to 8.8 watts but only 1.9 amps
and a 2.8 ohm coil at 5 volts is 8.9 watts but only 1.7 amps
so all things being about equal and i keep hearing that watts is the important factor does that mean that all three of these with the same juice in the same tank would give the same vape? and the 1.8 ohm coil at 4 volts would be hitting the limit on say the robust (2amp limit) but it would happily chug along with the 2.8 coil at 5 volts (1.7 amp is under the limit) with power to spare since it wouldnt hit the 2amp limit until 5.6 volts (which is 11.2 watts)?
maybe what i need is that wattage chart with the amps listed too cuz im not exactly sure i 'get it'. ive been using the 1.8 ohm coils with my twists which only goes to 4.8 volts as the other higher ohm heads just felt too weak and were really ineffective if i put them on regular 3.7v egos that i was using for backups now an then...
perhaps with these new units i will have a use for the pile of higher ohm nova heads i have and the twists might become the backup lol

I am no expert either but your numbers are all correct. The factor you are not taking into account is wire gauge and varying amounts of wrap on a wick to achieve the same wattage. Those are the factors which will affect vapor and taste more than wattage in my opinion. The more wraps on the wick would create more vapor just from more surface area. My general rule is...there is no general rule. Only your taste will tell.

thanks wallyo that part makes total sense. ive not been using my rebuildable stuff lately for several reason and have just been using my vivi nova tanks mostly so that example was based on thoese units where i would have to guess that all the heads are using the same wire and they just change the number of wraps - but all the wraps have to fit into the same given space so the surface area cant really change. and the big novas come with a 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8 ohm heads. - its kinda y i started using them instead of my rebuildables cuz then i didnt have to try and figure it out ;) just fill and vape lol
but the 2 new batts i got to order have different specs than what im used to using so it seemed it might not be a bad idea to try and wrap my head around it again ;)

ill check that out when i get home later thankyou
i hadnt been thinking surface area really till wallyo said that and there is limited space in a nova head so it hadnt really occured to me about the surface area of the wire ..... i thought about it while back while playing with my gen mods but ive been too busy to mess with those lately so i kinda forgot about it lol
