So? Some information about closing the G-tread?

It was a lot of TH at first but it mellowed out rather quickly. Still has plenty of TH, but not that I need to cough every time. The wick is above the hole by about 1mm, but when all closed up may actually touch. The bottom of the chamber is getting wicked up pretty well, it is quite clean down there when I open it.

I thought I would make the air inlet larger, but I don't see a reason to know.

Anyone have good lead on silica wick? Tried stainless and ceramic so now i want to try the silica as well.

What I find interesting with your setup is the distance and length of the wire from the mesh to the pos connector post, if mine were that loose it would glow red for sure.
That's cool that you have used it for a week! I can't help but continue to tweak it every night. Saying that, I have a good one setup last night and still going through the day. SO I'll see how long this one lasts.

I don't think it's too much airflow, this is pretty stiff. Not too much so, but I feel like it would be good for a pipe style mod and good for puffing on. It is real easy to get too much throat hit on this, but I think it was the wick being a bit too loose in the tank hole and the coil too wet.

It's definitely worth the wait dudeman, I have mine setup ad still running the same coil and wick from the day I set it up last week some time and still looks clean as a whistle. I think this thing might never actually need to have the coil and mesh changed, lol

I am having a BIG problem with the s-wire. I have been shorts all the time and lost the original (small + old eyes = lost). Any ideas?? Maybe direct connection? I trimmed it as suggested and same problem. I used a Multimeter and Get power to the center hole at the base connection. HELP.

Good that you didn't lose the brass post. The s-wire you can make fairly easily with 1mm wire and some needle nose pliers. Some thicker wire would be stiffer, it just has to fit in the brass post nicely.

Well my PO was kind enough to finally attemp delivery today so I guess I'll have mine on Monday.

Seems a lot are having trouble with that s-wire. I'll most liekly hard-wire mine if it gives me trouble.

Yeh the first day I had mine I put it on a mod and I pushed the centre post in and it shorted on the S wire but its easy to sort, had no probs since.
Will be interested on how to hard wire it though , just in case
