I've always assumed that "they" were and are here...no biggie, I don't believe they are able to or care to extract exactly who we are as individuals, but nonetheless, i stopped talking about personal levels of preparedness quite a while back. Don't see any upside in advertising such a thing however remote any downside may exist.

They can't do anything about it even if they did know you have a stash. They aren't going to come to your house and confiscate it. Nicotine is NOT a Schedule I Controlled Substance.

I am sitting here waiting on 6 orders of various bits and bobs that are on slow boats from China. I am concerned but not really panic stricken. yet

I'm in Australia and I've got 6 orders coming from China. I've never seen it this slow before ever so I don't think it's related to the state of things in the USA right now. There's something going on at the Chinese end - maybe to do with a spill over from their National Day holiday but whatever it is I've got mail nowhere to be seen from 1- 16 Sept and FT not answering my ticket for 89 hours so far. Not just FT but 2 orders from 3F vape too. One that was paid for on 4th September had a tracking notice :

Beijing, Beijing Speed International return, note: security return

Now it' apparently back to being "international departure enroute to Australia"

Anyway I agree it's confusing and concerning. Among this I did receive one parcel from FT that was shipped way after others that haven't got here yet. It was from Shenzen but most of my others are from Beijing. After this lot I'm closing my wallet for a while.

Government depends on cigarette taxes. Last year they collected 12.5 Billion. Vaping threatens that revenue if people switch to vaping. Sad, but true. I guess they haven't considered the reduction in lung cancer costs as a balancing parameter.

Agree. That money comes from a different pocket. Cigarette taxes are a sin tax. The states were supposed to use the money in campaigns to reduce smoking rates and cancer deaths. States use them for whatever they need to do at the moment. It all goes into the same pile of cash.

The China packets arrive at the plant in dozens of large metal cages with thousands of pieces inside each one. People import a lot of stuff from China: especially textiles, electronics, and household items, and the packets all look the same: neutral gray bags with a barcode on both sides that have a Chinese dude's name as the sender, with a vague description of contents, and the total value always below the threshold for import duty. There is no visible clue that any of them are 'vape mail'. I pity the agency that would try to inspect them.

Inbound shipments have always been subject to inspection .. Vape Related deaths have simply drawn a higher level of scrutiny ..

Although I highly suspect Chinese imports are not the culprit when it comes to the illicit pod market ..

I don't know about nic pod sickness issues .. what I do know is, the Underground Market in the USA for high strength THC pods .. up to 1000mg .. people are using the availability of these pods no different than when coke was distilled down to crack .. they want it, they seek it out and they like it .. it's just simple as that ::

I don't think China has anything to do with it other than making the pods themselves .. what this whole issue needs to be named is another Drug on top of the other Drugs .. the more and more easy availability of weed has morphed just like coke did in in the mid-80's ..

The method by which the population is controlled effectively is through fear, and the threat of potential extreme consequences. The goals are to either be not important or threatening enough to recieve this treatment, or to become powerful enough to be immune to it.

I am quite confident that the few percent of vapers who are fully prepared to weather any storm fall into the category of "not important enough".
