yup. it happened in the middle east too.
UAE and Iraq now.
and UAE is not uganda or whatever. I once spoke to a paypal rep about transferring funds internationally and told him i am in UAE. he transferred me to a Ugandan person.
UAE stands for United Arab Emirates. jeez.
and Iraq is not iran! lol

anyways.
All I keep getting told is that e-cigarettes are really dangerous and kill you LOL.
So after a week or so I've finally found out why, the surgeon general of turkey has said that if you use e-cigarettes they will kill you by, wait for it "bubbles in your lungs"??? Apparently backed up by scientists from the USA. wow. what else is new here?
So basically the general populous of these countries (and even neighboring like turkey) has been brainwashed into believing that e-cigs and vaping is lethal so they carry on smoking cigarettes! I guess without all the tax the government is earning from cigarettes keeps the country from going under financially.
Amazing!

It is awful.

Consider Japan. If Japan was to allow the majority of smokers to switch to e-cigarettes the county would go bankrupt.

History will judge these countries very badly. The people who stand behind laws and regulations that stop or hinder e-cigarettes will have to face their own demons in years to come. It's all very sad.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't e-cigs been illegal in UAE for quite some time now? I remember hearing about this back in 2013.

I think the laws have to do with sellers within the UAE, not personal consumption in the UAE. ie: You might get a package confiscated through the post, but you won't get arrested for using an e-cig in public.

Could be wrong, but that's what I thought was the case. I know in those areas most forms of "drugs" are banned (anti-depressants/SSRI's, anti-anxiety medications, etc.)

Here's a "slightly" different take on that.:)

I had somebody point out that high school kids use vape pens and that's why it needs regulated (banned). I told her we should ban beer, and cars because half of the kids in high school drink and %90 of them probably drink and drive. I also pointed out that the cigarette consumption among minors has gone down. She agreed with me after I explained it to her.
