I was in the 389th Engineer Batallion. Did basic at Fort Jackson SC and AIT at Fort Leonard Wood MO. My Unit was out of Onalaska, WI.

well it looks like you got some good training. yea i had to go to Fort Jackson for MEPS before going to Fort Benning for basic and AIT. Home of the Infantry they say... but I knew some really good guys that were in the engineer battalion right down the road from the 2/29th Infantry Fort Benning where I was stationed out of AIT. One thing I do remember is Fort Benning having some of the worse thunder storms I ever been in besides Hurricane Hugo.
