Super excited to say that my first setup is coming in the mail today. It's just a std, 510 starter kit, which I ordered w/ 20ml of tobacco flavored juice.

I've been waiting for it in the mail since the 14th with extreme impatience. I was so impatient that I ordered another kit and 60 ml more fluid (6x10 sample pack before my first kit even arrived. :>

Probably won't get it till this afternoon/evening, then need to charge for several hours to bring the batteries up to full, but I'll be sure to update w/ my newbie thoughts/impressions. Thanks to everyone on here! Despite my low post count, these forums contain a wealth of knowledge for the newbie, so yah, thank you to everyone here for leading the way!

Unfortunately, no brand information on the site. Ordered from 510 Cartomizer Starter Kit

That is the kit that I ordered. I then ordered some cartomizers, some clearomizers, 20 ml juice and a case. 10 bucks shipping + tax later I'm in 100+ dollars on my first kit.

Second order, I ordered http://www.vapemate.com/BIANSI-ELife-Starter-Kit_p_207.html because it's a wicked deal. I figured I can't go wrong with that price. I then ordered their 6 pack sampler as well.

The thing I like about vapemates is they are local to me (ie: in NW. Ont) so shipping time will be greatly reduced. Plus you know, support local business and what not.

Edit: Once I've had some time with the E-Life I plan to do a youtube review of the product as it seems that there are currently no english language reviews of this product up yet on youtube.

Welcome and gratz! 2 weeks and 2 days ago my kit arrived in the mail. *points down at sig*
Looks like you got 2 batteries coming in that setup and they usually do have about half a charge when they arrive. Throw one on the charger and start vaping the other. When first one's charged, swap em and you're all set.
Happy vaping!

You guys have to pay a lot more for this stuff so I can't tell where that falls between "ok price" and "you got screwed". Down here a comparable 510 kit only would be about $35.00 - $40.00

Just to let you know that battery run time they gave is a bit of a myth. The manual batteries go about 45 - 60 minutes. The auto batteries actually run longer - get the manual switch out of the way and a slightly larger capacity battery goes in. About 60 - 90 minutes for the autos. Not meant to discourage you - just to give you a heads up on what to expect.

And no matter - if this is your introduction to quitting and it works for you consider it money well spent.

Have you found the Canadian sub forum yet? => Canada Forum

The place that addresses all those issues: That pesky HC thing you have up there, how to deal with nefarious acts of Customs, and the topic that dares not be spoken: Nicotine and where to get it.

Well, I'm only ordering from Canadian suppliers to avoid customs issues, so I don't foresee that being a problem. I did order my kit with upgraded batteries, 280 MAH batteries so, hopefully they will go a little longer, but I appreciate the heads up on realistic expectations. I always take vendor claims with a grain of salt and if they live up to the, all the better! I also decided to try 1 manual, 1 auto. I like the manual in case I choose to do some direct dripping at some point.

I've been finding, the last week while waiting, I keep thinking and thinking and thinking about how unhealthy and stupid my current analogue habit is every time I light up, so I'm excited for the change.

Honestly, I didn't shop around too too much on price because, I was more concerned with the function of the thing then the price. Just getting off analogues I definitely wanted as familiar of a cigarette experience as I can get.

Yay! Have fun with your new "toy." I am not quite week into vaping and feel like a kid at Christmas. Already gone overboard on my purchases, kind of like when I start a new hobby.

I have had one analog since I started vaping, just cuz I had half a pack left. It made me feel like crap! The first few days of transition were a little rough, but nothing at all like quitting cold turkey. Just took me a few days to find the right nic strength and to achieve a good draw technique.

Blessings on your transition!

Well, I got my setup right at lunch today. I promptly got home, threw my lunch in the nuker and loaded up my first cartomizer. I know that the batteries only arrive half charged, but I vaped that sucker at work until about 4 pm. I then switched to the battery I had been charging since I got back to work and WOW, what a difference a full charge makes after puffing on a dying battery.

So, I haven't had the need or desire for an analogue in going on 7 hours. I realize it's likely psycosomatic, but I already "feel" clearer. I know I may break down and have an analogue at some point (I don't want to set unrealistic expectations of myself), but I can say with strong certainty that this is a great nicotine replacement therapy. I'm confident that this will be the thing that gets me off analogues.

I've honestly been surprised at the strong throat hit I'm getting off my 18mg Canadian Smooth Tobacco juice from canadavapes.com. It's impressive. Having just smoked analogues this morning, and of course having the fried tastebuds of a smoker, I can say it tastes nothing like my analogues (Canadian Classics) but that's not a bad thing. It tastes great. At first I thought I was getting hints of menthol, but now it seems that it's got some cinnamon hints. Again, who knows what I'll be tasting in a month when my buds grow back.

I got my email confirmation that my new Biansi E-Life is shipping along with my 6 juice sampler (Black cherry tobacco, Chocolate Hazelnut, Double Double Coffee, Root Beer, Strawberry and Navy cut tobacco). Hoping those show up in the next couple days, as I currently only have Tobacco.

So yah, so far so good! Thanks for the words of encouragement and welcome. I'll be sticking around here for a while! :)

Yay! :)

Don't put any pressure on yourself about how you approach this. Some people never have another .... the first time they pick up a PV. I sure as hell didn't do that. I continued to smoke for the first 90 days - a lot less right off the bat and fewer as I went along. I figured 3 months to quit a 30 year 2 PAD habit - I didn't see a problem there. As long as you are committed to quitting that's the important thing. This is the flexible, no rules approach. You get to figure out your own end game.

About the feel thing: Don't know what the PG/VG ratio is in the liquids you got, but PG is what you get your throat hit from. If you want more throat hit get a higher PG ratio. If it's too much and too harsh drop the PG and increase VG instead.
