Just got it in the mail today, charged up the batteries and sat down to try it out. At first it worked great, no issues using the atty it came with. Then it started to get a little spotty.
It would start to vape for a little, then seemingly stop, started, stopped. This progressively got worse up to a point where it stopped working all together. I had 5 other atty's from my original Prodigy so I started trying them out with no luck. There definitely seems to be a current running through, but as I lack a voltmeter I've only managed to test this by shocking my tongue repeatedly. Never had an issue with it managing to do that, yet it doesn't seem to want to vape with any atty.
Unfortunately I bought the v2 because I lost my V1, so I can't test the atty's otherwise... Any advice/tips? 801 using DSE801 atty's

Never mind! You solved the problem before I could post. Good going!

Yep, consistent excellent vaping with any Atty that gives me an ohms reading that isn't in the kili/mega/0 ohm range. I did end up buying a #60 o-ring and some connector protector liquid from ACE, but that cost me about $1.00 all together, since I managed to buy a single o-ring and less than a quarter ounce of the connector protector.
The multimeter, on the other hand, was a bit costly. But I've been having fun going through all of my other old attys and verifying that they're dead.
