Judging by the power stats, it looks like this could be used to run anything normally run from a USB or mini-USB, providing you have the proper cables. Would be great for camping!

Keep in mind how solar-powered systems work though. The solar panels charge a capacitor, which is then regulated for draw; it's like a battery. You wouldn't be able to prop this thing open with no charge and get enough power to run a passthrough, so don't expect to use it in your daily routine.

but on a full charge it should work then?? it can charge from the sun or pluged into a wall outlet, it would be cool if it would work like a Kensington Portable Power Supply, and be able to charge it with the sun, great for camping.

I would only use it during a prolonged power outage...can't justify it yet, but it is good to know....can't justify it cause I am too busy buying PV backups

looking around for solar options lead me to the: "Icetech I101 Portable Solar Charger/Battery" on Amazon for $25. I just got the Kensington Ultra Portable Battery for a bit more, and doesn't have the solar option.
