does anyone have any tips on soldering the wire into the inside the adapter(the positive) .. its so hard!

krewblink--Heat the center hole with the iorn good, then put the positive wire right on the center and heat the wire and the center---only then hit it with the soldier and it should take like butter--remember you heat the metal and then the solder will flow to the heated area. Do not try to just but solder on the tip of the iorn and try to "Glue" it on---that does not work---give it a try and let us know how you make out---Sun

All Good Tips! But; Don't forget to put a heat sink (alligator clips, nail, etc on the other side of the post to take the heat away from it) on the connector, u do not want to heat it up and melt the silicone gasket! The Gasket can melt very quick! Be sure to Sink it in a little cold water as soon as u can (have a little cup of cold water prepared).

Good Luck, Its Not Hard Just Be Carefull! Tin The Wire 1st, The Hit The Center Post, Be sure to make a heat sink for the outer side when u do that too.

Keep Vapin!

Good tip. The first time I soldered the center pin, I didn't know that the silicone would melt; it did, and shorted out. The next time, I took the center pin out of the silicone and soldered it, then stretched the silicone over the pin and stuffed it back in the hole, then slid the pin into the hole. Of course, the wire must be long enough. Since it wasn't in my case because the wire had broken, I soldered a short piece of wire onto it.

Some wires have a shellac coating that must be scratched off to solder them. Hitting the wire with a flame makes it easier to scratch off.
