I just started using Volcano's Mega Cartomizers with my Inferno and I was really frustrated when I first got them because after the first few puffs on a new refill, I would start to get a really bad burnt taste that wouldn't go away. I was following the instructions and removing the inner ring to fill it properly and couldn't seem to fix it. Customer service emailed me with the solution that has made a huge difference.

The instructions that come with the cartomizers say not to fill them with more than 0.6 ml of juice to keep from flooding them. This must be the correct amount for the regular cartomizers because Volcano's customer service told me to put in 1.5 ml in the Mega Cartomizers. I'm not sure if it's a complete fix but I've been vaping a lot since then and haven't had the dreaded burnt taste come back.

Hopefully, I'm the only one dumb enough not to catch the error in the instructions. However, if you are having the same problem, you may try this and see if it helps.

I have completely dismantled 5 magma mega carts. Well built units. I've put them into clear 3ml BD syringes and modded them with PTB and used them with normal factory wicks. Soon I will figure out the perfect combination for these cartos. I've got it down 99.9 % :) I've tried them at 3.7 and 5v . At the first hint of a burnt out unit, I'm going to replace the coil with a coil from a magma 510 atty. I've got 510 atty's I bought last year that are still hitting hard from volcano(magma). I like thier stuff.
