Hello all,

Been vaping for a while, but ran into my first issue today. Purchased the Aspire Atlantis tank with the assumption it should work without issues on an MVP 2.0, but each time I fire the device, It refuses to fire and the auto protection kicks in. Any suggestions as to why or how to rectify this issue? I would hate to think I purchased this new tank and its useless to me to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Chris.

I'm pretty sure the MVP 2.0 won't fire down to 0.5 ohms. This is why they should have this stuff right on the front of the Atlantis box. I was wondering how long it would take.

Its a disappointment it that's the case, local vape shop assured me it should work without an issue on the MVP, since I was using .8 coils from Kanger already on it from a separate tank, assumed .5 would also not be a problem.

The standards are kinda fuzzy when it comes to the MVP but generally a resistance below 1 ohm won't fire.

From what I have been able to find online the MVP2 specs are 3.3 – 5.0 volts, 6.0 – 11.0 Watts and a 3 amp limit.

Even at the lowest setting (3.3v) with a 0.5Ω coil the resulting watts and amp draw are over the limit. The Atlantis is designed for devices able to produce over 20 watts.

An MVP wont fire under 1.2 ohms and theres no way around it... if u wanted 2 do sub ohming your best bets gonna be a mechanical mod with a Sony VTC4 or VTC5 battery

The Sonys have become rarer than a protest free NYC night. Anyone have a legit supplier? The buzz on these is so high I think there are many batteries being rewrapped in green.

Ya you should always do your research before buying a product that contains the words "Sub-Ohm". The Atlantis is made for people who want to sub-ohm but don't feel comfortable building their own coils on an RDA or for Cloud Chasers on the go (wanting to vape on the go (while driving)), and also as an entry for the company to extend their tank tech into new areas. If you search online for the tank at stores a lot of them will let you know this information.

You got it right there! I would say that probably 75% of the "sony" batteries labeled VTC5 are fake right now, only the people who got them before sony stopped making them have the Authentic cells. Xtar has a good 25amp battery as well as the samsung 25r also 25amp. RTD Vapor is where I would order for any batteries.
