Can someone explain the whole 306 and 510 difference to me. If I understand correctly the 306 fits a 510 connector, so what is the difference?

And my other question refers to the 510 blank cartos, some of my packages are labeled 510 and some are labeled 510D, does that make a difference? If so, what is the difference?

Thanks in advance!

I understand the atty difference, someone explained that the 306 have an exposed bridge where the 510s do not and I get the LR factor.
But on the cartomizers, the ohms for the high performance are the same, and they both attach to a 510 device and this is where I am stuck at what the differences might be.

I am really happy with my 510 cartos but was curious to the differences of the 306 especially since I see it is not just an lr thing as they also come in the same 2.8-3.0 ohm range as my 510's do.

OK...

A 510 and a 306 share the same 510 fitting.
The 306 has an exposed bridge and really requires a drip tip.
In Low Resistance, on a 306 you get a more intense hit. Hotter vapor. Some really like this and never go back to any other atty.
510 is a great universal atomizer. It is the one most people use. Use a regular with 3.7 to 6v, a LR only on 3.7 -4v.
LR gives you 5v hit with a 3.7v battery.

Did I help at all?

Okay....
Thanks for answering the D, no D question.
I understand the attys more. And yes, I might give one a try since someone else who always gives good recommendations thinks they are great.
Still confused on the carto thing but now that I've actually seen an ego, I can get that explanation.

I am just as content as can be with my 510 cartos but like to stay somewhat aware of all the other stuff because I do have folks asking me about vaping all the time who don't necessarily just seek out a forum like this place. Some folks seem interested in the 'e-cigs' but not necessarily interested in a big ol mod like mine. I sure as heck tell them to stay away from free trials and those crappy overpriced prefilled things at the mall kiosks and I try and jot down stuff that is easy to use so if they do come here, they can have a start of what stuff to kind of search for and learn about since ECF can be so overwhelming to a person who knows zilch. It took me a while just to get thru the forum sections and once I realized I wanted more than just a 510 kit, I really began to feel overwhelmed. :)

Thanks for all the explaining.
