I've found that some flavors take days, weeks or months to steep before they taste good. I got one in the mail last Tuesday and tried it last night. No lie - it tastes like pee. But, the reviews on it are amazing so I'm just going to throw it in a drawer and let it sit for a couple of weeks. I pulled out of my drawer one that I got 2 months ago that initially wasn't great to me -it's amazing now.

Does anyone know why this could be or are some flavors just hit and miss

Yea...it's pretty hit or miss. I've found that steeping does help this issue sometimes. However, I have had bad luck with cherry juices...same problem. They seem to taste very synthetic.

One caveat: Chocolate Covered Cherries from MyFreedomSmokes - awesome.

Keep trying :toast:

Flavors are hit and miss. If you have a favorite and all of a sudden it changes, then your taste buds may be changing. This is a common thing to happen. I have an espresso juice that tasted awesome in the shop but after a few days it tasted like burning PVC. it sucked because i really liked it at the time. Now i won't bother with it because it took an hour of mouthwash rinses to get it out. Yuk!

i have to agree not all juices are equal. i have some atomic fireball from a shop in OKC that tastes great on inhale and first exhale but after that its nasty. my wife got some no nic cinnamon from the shop i use and its great been thinking about mixing them but havent tried. and "vapor tongue" as my local shop calls it sucks, i have to changed flavors every week or so to avoid this. i went from running 7 flavors to mainly 2. every now and then i will fill my PT2 with one of my other juices and vape it for a while just to cleanse my pallet

Let the flavors that taste bad steep for a couple of weeks. To get yourself through, splurge on some higher end vendors that provide pre steeped juice. The Standard Vape, Five Pawns.... Other middle line vendors have fabulous juice right out of the mail as well. I've had great luck with Ahlusion. Their cherry is awesome compared to a lot of other vendors. Fruit stuff is pretty much a specialty if theirs and I haven't met a juice from there I didn't like yet.

I bought a "criss cross" brand berry juice from a ".... hut" style cig shop last week that tastes just like a glade air freshener product. Nasty!

Some e-juice IS nasty. There are many great ones out there tho. If you are lucky enough to have a Brick and Mortar chop around, stop in and see if you can sample some stuff. I don't have that option nearby so I browsed the juice forum here for some vendor recommendations. There are many out there. Try a sampler pack, buy small amounts and stock up on the ones you like!
