I think its because they can connect to the largest, smoothest area better in order to complete a circuit, than to the small area of the positive connection.

I think some of the springs are a little shorter than others on the endcap of some of the GGT

and I think some people have stretched their spring up a little bit too.
so it depends which camp you are in..........

but do not worry,
the GGT works just fine with the spacers in with the battery also,
I have used spacers with my other 18650 batteries,
and it works just fine,
I put my spacers on the positive end of my battery

I did see where Imeo said to put them on the negative end of the battery..

is there a special reason for putting the spacers on the particular end of the battery.
could someone explain that for us please....

Di, all springs are from the factory so they are the same. But sometimes I strech some of them to do my work or to see how they behave. Sone of them are srteched by me, others no. So Moog, stretch it a little and you will not need spacers my friend

Di, positive pole has load, negative no, so we dont want to have current loss by touching the positive pole. So we put negative on the spring. But it works in any way

Well I think I'm going to order a Chuck(custom design is calling my name) , and hold out for the updated GG. Imeothanasis sold me on the new aluminum he is going to start using.....So I'm guessing another month wait......O well it will make it even better when it ready!

In the mean time I think I will order the high voltage 901! If and when they hit the states....Heck I would import it if I could.....
