I have finally ordered all the necessary parts to begin building my first genesis. I am very excited. I thought I would post my shopping list for all of you to enjoy....as all I can do at the moment is stalk the mailman and watch these wonderful posts.

3) Delrin Rod 1in OD 12in length: Ebay Link - Black Acetal / Delrin rod 1 " dia - 1 ft Bushing - eBay (item 370461650751 end time Jan-28-11 15:28:52 PST)

I also picked up the nicochrome wire on offer at madvapes.com since the Kanthal is shipping from germany and will take some time to arrive. I wanted to start tinkering early!
What are you using the Delrin rod for?

Are they all done . Can't wait to have them in my greedy hands lol .
Ive been wanting to totally rebuild my Genesis but I'm waiting till the new one gets here so I wont be with out. I really need to re-think my setup and remodel it . But I don't wont to use a factory atty anymore you really get spoiled using the the Genesis.
I'm really looking forward to having a spare to use and make my old one a new one again .
Thanks Dan

Okay, I understand now. So if the mesh is not nearly as replaceable as the coil, then we need the coil to be quick change without changing the mesh. So how about something like this? I am not sure if this has been done anywhere else or not. I did a quick search for some type of nichrome kanthal connectors using springs, and nothing came up, but I never really have great luck with my searches anyways.

So, what if you take a spring from a pen and cut it in half, and solder the spring halves onto each of the two wires coming out of the atomizer. Then you just slide the coil ends in between the spring coils by simply bending the spring over to one side which will open the coils up on one side. I also noticed that the pen springs go from a really tight winding to a loose winding which should make them a good candidate for this, provided they have little to no resistance.

This allows for very fast and easy coil swapping while leaving the mesh.

I am not crazy about screws and clamps for this personally

I do not have one of these types of pens right now, but if you have one, pop out the spring and you will see what I mean about it being a good candidate for this.
