Interesting article... Smoking and drinking is a stress reliever for us... period! I see the health benefits, we all do, but the military should not be singled out from the general population. Stateside the price breaks for smokes are no more and most of the time it is less expensive to go off base to buy your smokes. The same with gasoline. Now interesting enough alcohol remains very inexpensive compared to the prices outside of the gate.

I went to a "smoke free facility" about a month ago. No smoke breaks, ....-kits, or anything around. Walk out to the parking garage and there are butts littered everywhere! This installation (navy hospital) serves not only the military, but civilian dependents as well. Most people that have a scheduled hospital visit will have have civilians come to the installation to see their loved ones through. Where do they smoke? Why in the parking garage of course. Give the people a gazebo and a .... bucket and be done.
