I'm a vaper and recently divorced omg, but in all seriousness it had nothing to do with smoking/vaping and more to do with my ex being a close relative to the no more wire coat hangers lady. :)

I found this statistic interesting....Smokers and Vapers both have an equal chance of eventually dying.

Interesting thing is NON vapers and NON smokers also have that same chance of dying.

I think we need to regulate and maybe ban death.

If you pick and choose where you get your info, you can get any results you want from research to support your agenda. Somewhere around 55% of ALL marriages end in divorce these days. I smokers really have a 60% greater chance of divorcing their spouse, then that would mean about 75 - 80% of smokers get divorced. I don't see the difference being that large based solely on smoking. There are likely other factors involved.

Divorce rate is highly dependent on income, education, race. The same is true about smoking. So, of course, some cross-correlation could exist, but statisticians in most cases can only find correlations, then causes of it are invented by their supervisors or media.

Hey people!
I am recently divorced and few days ago I bumped into this statement: "Smokers have a 60% greater chance of divorce than non smokers". Sincerely, it perplexed me at first. So now I'm curious if vapers experience such a high divorcing rate too, hm! What do you think about it?

OMG, how has mankind existed for all these years without the internet oracles to provide us with the level incite of we now enjoy. Without the guidance of these oracles providing excuses for our own failures.... I shudder to think. Just sayin';)

Depends.

Is one of the parties to the marriage a non-smoker?
Do they nag the smoker about quitting?

Does the smoker attempt to quit and then become a raging monster?

Yeah, I can see how smoking in a marriage can be trouble.

86.7% of all statistics are made up.

Nowadays, in the era of information, frankly speaking you can find a lot of bull .... on the Internet, so that you never know what is the truth and what was invented by marketologists to sell their merchandise! Did someone find some more ridiculous statistics?!
