Thanks, most of my tools are about wood removal. Cutting is iffy and joining wood is out of the question. My wife suggested I direct attention to furniture, like a foot stool. That would probably wind up not so stable.

Those sound beautiful, I've got some cherry and ash to try too, if I get time to get to them. My starting to finishing ratio is somewhat out of balance. I did get 4 ends roughed out in brass yesterday but it all took awhile.

Thanks Robert. They are modular so I can swap out an atty or power pod. The switches are interchangeable too but each will likely get one of it's own.

beautiful work as always asdaq wish I could handle wood removal with your touch. Have a question about first pic on page what do you use the the bigass clamp for if I was to take a guess based on the sawdust pattern is it to cut out the center groove?

Yes, which was all to tedious to cut. I got a router bit today to make quick precuts before filing. I got the last 3 done in under an hour. Tomorrow should be fairly productive I hope.

Should tell your wife that you aren't interested in vaping a foot stool. Then duck and run for cover.

These look very classy. What finish are you going to apply to them? Maybe just oil the raw wood?

Yes, linseed oil and I was thinking beeswax on top of that. It seems to strengthen the wood well and stays clean too.
