To be honest, I have a feeling that hcigar is just another middle man, not an actual manufacturer. Then these companies just buy them from the actual manufacturing place based on their own design. In other words, no, I don't know if this clone in FT is made by hcigar or not.

That would be funny if it was true. What makes you feel like that. Anyways I think I am going to hold out for the original when they release it in copper

If memory serves me correctly, FT has already put to rest that they in no way have any affiliation with HCigar. I think that is like 1-2 months ago already. Memory also serves me that HCigar "is" a middle man and "not" a manufacturer...

For the same reason I recently found out (from an authority on the subject) that Kebo is not the actual manufacturer of the Russian/R91% Kafun type atomizers (only a distributor)... a company called UCT is.
I'm not 100% sure, and I'm still waiting to hear a yea or nae, but this might be Ultra Clean Technologies in Shanghai. If that's so, then a reason why the Russian attys are of such high quality manufacture.

Anybody grab one of these yet? I went there the other day to grab a bunch of DTs and see how long it takes and, even though I've heard some not so good things (spring in switch? and maybe more) I threw one in my basket and we'll see what I get.

I had a real 69 rev2 and they have a spring switch as well, dunno whats the problem there. my only concern would be how well did they replicate the contact pins.

Well I recieved this piece-o-crap a week or so ago and finally tried it. Won't even fire. I have a wacky MM so alls I can tell so far is it has good contact through all pieces except the most important part. When the button is pressed in the switch!!!! At less than $20 it was a long shot and I was on FT anyway.

But... would really appreciate if there's anybody that got this thing to work. I remember seeing another thread but can't find it. And, I'll tear it apart this weekend.

There's info in there about some fixes for the button, I took the button out sanded down the plastic part of the switch assembly at the end that touches the inner tube and added an O ring from an old clearomiser to the existing one and it's now perfect in both top and bottom button configurations.

Once set up it's actually a great mod.
