Some of you are nuts.

I'm in my 3rd year of vaping, and I just bought my fifth mod. The only reason I've bought this many is because my first one died 3 months after purchase, and my second was a mech mod which has become a paperweight because I prefer regulated mods. The third mod was underpowered (30W) for what I wanted to use it for and the one I'm currently using doesn't have the accuracy or multiple TC wire support that I want.

I'll probably go at least another full year before I buy a 6th.

I own about 10 tanks, but six of those sit in boxes unused. I rotate between 4 tanks now, and that's good enough to keep me happy. I'm considering buying a new RTA, maybe in June for my birthday.

There are thousands of people that hoard mods and tanks , the "must obtain new mod immediately" thought process is rampant in this world.

When i started i decided to just buy what i needed to vape happily and currently have about 4 mods and maybe 8 tanks total myself . Never had one fail yet , been over two years now , getting into DIY has made it possible to have a lot more $$.

When a mod comes out at some point in the future that really changes the game somehow i would consider purchasing it but everything nowadays is mainly just a different design but they all do the same thing.

Caught my eye.
I like very much!!
Sigh..........but I just bought an RX200..............but I like, looks like a weapon!
It's pretty, all right. A bit uncomfortable in the hand, if the truth were told; I seem to grip a smooth tube better for one hand operation. It hits like a cannon when it hits, but it doesn't always. I never have figured out why. Dirty, maybe, albeit I've cleaned it. One of these days I'll take the button apart...

It's the fire button, the spring isn't the best. Mine is the same.

When it comes to mods I really don't see any reason to buy or use more than one. Mods are just battery packs. They all do the same thing. So why have 20+ mods that all do the same thing? The only reasons I've bought new mods is because of the evolution of the industry. My first regulated mod flat out failed and had to be replaced. My second regulated mod was a 30W mod which was the most powerful mod you could buy at the time. My 3rd regulated mod was one of the first cheaper (Less than $100) temp controlled mods but only supports nickel wire, doesn't have upgradable firmware, and has a few little issues that I don't like about it. My new mod that I just bought is cheap, holds 3 batteries, is more accurate in TC mode, and supports Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel wire. Unless this mod fails I don't see any reason to buy another one in the foreseeable future.
I have some low priority mods on my road map. I'd like to have DNA style programing and data collection but I'm not interested in the 200 watt versions, may be a single cell DNA75. I'd like to have a two cell TC mod wired in paralell for day trips in the field. Still waiting for the right one. to come along. Right now I'm kind of spoiled by the vt mini. I like the screen and the puff timer. I might be at the end of the road with atomizers. The SV rda clone from fasttech is the best I've got right now and the only one I use. It looks hard to beat for my purposes.

You're right they all do the same thing, push a button...make vapor. I don't get new mods out of necessity, it's because I like the look or something slightly different about them.

View attachment 540725 Hi, I started vaping a year and a half ago, I was hooked from the first choking hit, lol. I was a diehard smoker that said I'd never quit. I didn't know at the time I was starting a different kind of addiction... This one is much more fun.

I bought my first MOD after lots of research and personal recommendations from many sources. Right now it meets my needs and if I want can crank it up to flame my throat if I wanted. But my sweet spot seems to be right in the middle so I have room to grow but the factory coils are giving me great service life. If I was to purchase another MOD I might by another iStick TC40W instead of a higher wattage one. Just my feelings at present and you never know what can happen next week! :2c::2c:

I think all people who buy a ton of mods etc.. do it because they like a different design , i would be shocked if any of them actually needed them.

I will bet the actual majority of vapers are using +ohm coils and watts under 10 or 15. There's a lot of vape pens out there, and they still sell like ice tea in Texas in August. I have a number of 150 watt and up mods. I never open them up all the way. If I did, I'd cough my lungs out through my nose.

Me, too. I have different ones because I like to switch off occasionally. Every two weeks or so, I'll get a wild hair and reset all the active mods with ones that have been out of rotation for a while.
