i started vaping heavily and daily on a mod with an rta 4 months ago so like after a week i got vapers tongue, and it lasted more than 2 weeks for me to get the flavor back, but now i switched to an rda that burns juice like 2 times more than the previous tank and i started vaping more because new tank hype, so i have a really bad vapers tongue, the question is that is it possible that because i'm taking more amounts of juice now than what i used to, or is it just a coincidence, and how can i avoid getting vapers tongue again man it really sucks.

We all get it, I switch flavors a lot, use menthol juice, sometimes I'll vape unflavored juice for a few days. The trick is to never let your taste buds get used to one flavor for to long. Like eating you'll grow tired of eating the same thing every day.

For some people...things they eat can apparently also affect the taste buds. For myself, and a few of my friends who vape, garlic will cause it sometimes. A couple days later though, after frequent teeth and tongue brushing...our sense of taste is back.

I vape pretty much 1 DIY eliquid all day, every day, but have never had a vapor's tongue problem because of it. The only 2 times I've had it in nearly 4 years of vaping...has been from too much garlic in or on something, or eating something made with it too frequently in a few days.

Another one that makes a significant factor is not drinking enough water. I Vape a lot and I go through a lot of water and I do mean a lot. When I don't drink enough water I do start getting Vapers Tongue.

So if you think you drink enough water now, triple that. Yes you'll be ...... a lot but the positive side affect is you'll actually be healthier.

nothing odd about it.... its called sensory overload. Change flavors for a week or 2... go from your present flavor to something entirely different... for example ... from tobacco flavors to fruit flavors, going from one tobacco flavor to another tobacco flavor wont work.

Drinking water for health purposes WHEN YOU AREN'T THIRSTY is of questionable benefit at best. Google it. You will find tons of info from reputable sources that debunk the practice as pure myth. Most say that our bodies know when we need water and are very good at triggering thirst.

Personally, I'd rather spend my time more productively than running to the bathroom to pee every hour.

Having said that - it may be worth a try in relieving vapor's tongue. I wouldn't know, in four-plus years of vaping it's never happened to me.

I had vapers tongue briefly at around the right time. It passed. I run more mods now to vary flavors.

After vaper's tongue passed I started having non-smokers tongue which led to an extreme desire to EAT, LOL.

Staying hydrated is good, but there's no need to overdo it. Keeping your mouth moist is more important, IMO. Biotene and sugar-free lozenges are good for that. I drink tons of water, but lithium makes me thirsty and I live in TUCSON. I do also drink tons of coffee...

Best of luck, I hope it passes quickly.

    This.

Other than a few cups of joe during the day I only drink when I am thirsty, at meal time, and if I get dry-mouth from vaping.

Here is my take on "vaper's tongue", and I could be wrong, but I think it's kind of the same thing as when you smoke. When you were smoking did you ever kiss a non-smoker and they complained you tasted like an ashtray? To you, your mouth tasted "normal" but to to others there was a nasty flavor. Also if you kissed another smoker, neither of you tasted anything. Essentially what happens is when a flavor is in your mouth long enough, you just get so used to it so you can't taste it anymore. Switch flavors for a bit to reset the normal and you can taste it again.

This is 100% my pure opinion and to the best of my knowledge there is no scientific study backing this, but it makes perfect logical sense based on my own observations.
