Sony 18650 VT4 Protected or not?

So i just bought my first high wattage mod , the kbox mini, and it takes an 18650 battery so i bought a Sony VTC4 18650 2100mAh 15C 30A battery , does this have built in protection or not?

The Sony VTC4 is a hybrid IMR battery using a Nickle-Manganese-Cobalt chemistry. No they are not protected.

The battery, no.. The Kbox mini, yes it has built in protection circuitry.

Unprotected imr / hybrid is the correct battery for vaping use.
