So, time for a matchup. Sony vs. MNKE. Which brand of batteries do you prefer? What do you use for? Which is better all-around for high drain? Feel free to share links, etc. on where you purchase and what deals you find.

Saw a guy in the shop last week running a coil at 0.18 ohm. Forgot to ask him what battery he was running but that cloud looked like straight cotton. It almost started raining in the store >_<
I was actually curious if he was running this MNKE because I thought I over heard that in discussion.
Maximum Continuous Discharging Current 20 A
.18 ohms would mean it would draw about 23 A from the battery, that would be unsafe.
sony's tend to last longer, but the mnke seems to put out more power longer, i have about 3-4 of each, both are good, but the efest 35 amps blow them both away in longevity and power
Sony hands down for me. Ever since vtc 3. Now on vtc 4 and when these die out I'll get vtc 5's. I have just recently also purchased a new flashlight at 1000 lumens that take 18650 batteries so my old batteries won't go to a graveyard and just go to my new flashlight bwahaha oh and i buy them in half dozen. Good to last couple of months. Love the .3 .4 dual coil builds

Sony has a safety feature found in no other batteries.
If you have a hard short the Sony collapses, yes the actual battery collapses, breaking the connection and rendering the battery unusable.
On a pure safety basis Sony is the best.

I have 5 Sony VTC4's that I rock. I plan on getting a few VTC5's.
When I first got my Cartel Stillare in, I built out a 24gauge dual parallel coil which ended up being at .09 ohms. I did the math on it and I was theoretically vaping at 152 watts and pulling 41.1 amps from the battery. The Sony VTC4's are rated 30amps continous draw and 60amps burst draw so I was within its limits. After vaping on it for about 35minutes, I had dropped the battery down to 3.6 volts. The button on my Turtleship V1 never got hot, and the battery stayed cool and I could put it up against my arm/face without any discomfort. After that night, Sony's really proved to me that they are the batteries to use.

Is it true that the VTC4's top caps indent easily from firing pins creating a contact point that isn't that great? I swear I read that somewhere.
I use Sony VTC4 & VTC5 Batteries, I haven't used the others. The Sony batteries work have worked flawlessly, I own 10 of them, running a dozen mechs.
