The day after I started messing around with rebuildables, I developed a really bad sore throat. I'm used to vaping around 1.6-1.8 ohms, but I built a coil that read 0.69 ohms and vaped on my new M16 mech mod. I thought it was fantastic; The taste, vapor and throat hit. The next day, I got a really bad sore throat, and it has been consistent for the past 3 days now. I've since gone back to my regular setup, an MVP2 and EVOD, but it is still persistent. I do not know if this is because the extra heat had hit my throat and caused it to be sore, or what. But, at this point, I can not vape. It just hurts too much.

Is there any explanation to this? Was it the sub-ohm vaping, and my throat not being used to the extra volume of vapor?

If this has happened to you, how did you handle it? I am getting really bad nic cravings, but I just can't hit it. I know if I smoke a menthol cigarette, I'd be able to get rid of the cravings and not get such a bad feeling in my throat, but I don't want to do that. Not with the work I've put in so far.

28g kanthal wire, with boiled organic cotton.

Well I was going to say if it was silica then try cotton. The other thing is the extra flavor and vapor comes from vaporizing more juice, so there will be more nic per puff. You may need to lower nic strength for sub ohm builds...our at least try taking smaller/shorter puffs or even just mouth only hits.
