So, I've been vaping for a few months, now. Going to get my first box mod over the weekend (batteries and such are arriving today! So I'll be all ready when my mod gets here.)

But, I've noticed that by the end of the day, my throat is all scratchy, almost to the point where it feels sore. I'm assuming this is normal, since you ARE inhaling vapor that's potentially warm, and all that jazz.

The next thing is sores. Now; I'm not sure if the one that I have now is caused by vaping, but it's on the inside o my right cheek near my wisdom teeth. Like I said, I'm not sure if it's caused by vaping, but I just want to make sure.

Have you guys ever had to deal with sore throats/tongue/cheek sores when vaping? And again, is it a normal occurrence?

Discuss sore throats and the like! Thanks, guys.

I do know that I have to drink a good bit more fluids or my throat hurts from what feels like dryness. My lips also feel dry and seem to get chapped easily.

I have not had sores in my mouth, but that is listed as a side effect of quitting analogs. Not sure if it is directly related to the vaping for anyone but either way I hope it clears up for you soon.

If your throat problems don't subside soon with drinking extra water or if it gets worse, try some organic vg juices.. not just vg but organic pg free. Try it for a week or 2 and see if that helps. PG rips my throat up awful. You can try Virgin vapor, Vaperite, bombdrops Kona cream is awesome for organic juice. Sometimes sore throat is just temporary but if it's not you need a back up plan. Good luck!

I had some occurrences of mouth sores back in Dec/Jan. However, I was using a acidic type e-juice. Granny smith apple. In addition, I was toking on a LR mega atty. My dentist tried to scare me with the word cancer. It ended up to be just a burn. I went to another dentist for a second opinion after the lesion(s) healed. (She stated it was most likely a burn)

It can take up to 3 weeks to heal. I use Manuka honey and baking soda for those occasions. Juices I found to cause irritation for me. Cinnamon and apple. Sometimes e-liquid may have alcohol added. (Which could cause irritation with some folks.)

I vaped MadVapes Chinese menthol 24MG for my first 3 months and never had a problem. I bought Halo Ice, vaped for 2 days and my entire mouth was covered with sores. I went back to the Dekang from MadVapes and I've been fine ever since (this was about 7 months ago).

For me I think it was that Halo is 100% PG. I called and asked. The Dekang from MadVapes, according to them, is VG.

I agree with the organic juice suggestion. Natural juice may help as well.

VapeRite is good stuff.

Strange thing, for several people, smokeing analogs has protected us from getting mouth sores, so just quiting the analogs we are now subjected to getting them.
Any type of irritation can cause them.

Spicy food, Acidic food, biteing the cheek, a tooth rubbing the wrong way, dental work, certin tooth pastes, the list can go on.

With our vapeing we have a few aditional causes. 100% PG juice can do it for some. Some say a 50/50 or even a 80pg/20vg blend is enough to keep them away.
Organic juices areVG as far as I know, so these would help, but any VG base should work.
Splashing Juice can do it to. Over filled cartos, overheating some juices that let e-liquid into our moths have seem to make sores appear.
Sometimes it can even be the flavors, Cinnimon could do it, so can some clove/apple (some of these have cinnimin in them).
Its sometimes really hard to pin down, and people can be affected differently.

So far, it's been there for a few days. I've been vaping my usual menthol all PG juice from Awesome Vapor, and I've never had a reaction to it before. Usually I get tongue sores every once in a while, but this is the first time it's been on the inside of the mouth. Right near my molars on the right side.

It's extremely hard to eat, but only hurts when it comes in contact with food or any liquid at the moment. Is there a remedy that anyone knows of? I've searched Google, and all of the remedies seem like they were pulled from how to remedy a sore throat.

Well; I did some research, and it could be due to a lot of things. Stress, diet, calcium deficiency .. I don't know if it's related to vaping or not, but I hope it isn't.

Gotta start taking better care of myself!

That is the ticket, I see a lot of things attributed to vaping that very well may not be at all. If it does not go away see your doc. I am not a doctor but I play one on ECF :2cool:
