+1 on the VG

If the VG switch doesn't help it may be a symptom of making the switch. I've read several people have experienced respiratory or flu like symptons such as sore throat, coughing, headaches, sinus problems. All temporary. Mine was sinus problems that lasted about a week. Could be coincidence though

Drink a ton of water....
I've been vaping for nearly a month now, and have noticed a sore throat in the past couple days. It is very scratchy, and i'm coughing consistently.

I primarily use PG based juices, and cut them down about 25% VG. Could it be the PG content? Should I try out some VG based juices?

Could be vaping some of the plastic filler.... which can probably cause cancer. Hopefully it won't!
I did a search on "sore throat" and found this thread.

I'm not sure, but I find I have a very sore throat (even with drinking tons of water) if I vape with the filling in the cart. If I vape without the filling, I don't get that sore throat.

Anyone else notice this?

Try using a VG juice for a month, see if it makes a difference. Hold back a couple carts of PG. Then go back to the PG and see if the soreness hoarsness comes back. I can tell right away now if a juice is PG, the sore throat & hoarsness is back with a vengeance, after only a cart or two. Feels like you're being strangled in the inside.

Very sad to say, but we have lost alot of the pioneers of this site. A search can still turn up alot of their previous research, questions and advise on the site though. Here is just a little of it I was quickly able to find:

Most of this is still relevant today about sore throat. You can search back for more.

Agnes, Kate and all, thank you. The sore throat I get on occasion and noticed it this time with a vengeance is when I made my own filter out of a polyester batting I bought at Michaels. When I took the cartridge off and just smoked from the atomizer, the sore throat began to dissipate.

I truly hope it's not the liquid because I have a lot (like over 1,000ml) of it. 8-o

My suggestion is switching to liquid from another suplier of your choice...
Maybe this would help...
For me PG is better for my mouth instead of VG.
I have VG intolerance i suppose.
Cheers!

Thanks Oldspace. I'm also finding I have to be careful of the strength of the liquid. I start out with 36mg and cut it. I may not have cut that batch I was using as much as I thought I had.

I remixed, very carefully, a new batch to where I was at 18 to 20 ml and it seems to be a lot better.

It goes away at least it did with me.

Did you switch your E-Cig?

Well just soar/ not scratchy, and i'm coughing consistently.

I did start coughing consistently getting the tar out of my lungs....
just want to point out ,its totally normal to start coughing, when you quit smoking analogs. took me 2 months of coughing up sticky black / brown stuff.
I quot my doctor. " when you quit smoking, you WILL start coughing, that´s your lounges and throat cleaning themselves "
