Good deal. It might be drying out and causing discomfort, but the best place to start is with someone actually looking at it. How much PG do you have in your juice?
First, try not to vape at night. Nicotine is a stimulant, it isn't going to help you sleep better. If you must go with zero nicotine just for night time use.
Second, use lip balm for your dry lips, that will help.
Third, see a doctor, maybe get a sleep study done. You may be snoring or have apnea, causing the sore throat and, lack of a good sleep as well.

The sore throat may be from something else...do clean your drip tip though...as for being unable to sleep, do take a zero nicotine juice since nicotine is a stimulant...good luck!
Welcome and glad you joined. I have found, after vaping years, that I've developed an intolerance (chronic sore throat) to PG. I now vape 15PG/85VG (max VG for an DIY'r) which has stopped the soreness. I'm at zero nic. Everyone is different physically, so we each have to experiment and find what works for us.

My taste buds are dying because of vaping. I am coughing. But I do need my nicotine.
I've been vaping for 5 years now. Used to do high VG and now have settled in with 100% PG. I've always vaped through colds.
Everyone is different, this is just the experience I've had. Vaping during a cold or flu doesn't bother me, no matter the VG/PG ratio. Smoking used to make my colds/flu noticeably worse.
In your situation I think seeing a doctor like you're going to do is the best bet. It could be just a nasty cold, or something else that you'll want to get a handle on quickly.

That doesn't sound good AT. You've been vaping long enough to know what vapers tongue is and how to handle it so I expect that's not an issue. Maybe a visit with your doc is a good idea for you too my friend
Drink the juice like robotussin and it will help your sore throat. Nah jk, I sometimes will get a sore throat from certain flavors or if I use high heat, fog machine builds and my submandibular tonsils will flair. Hope your doctor can sort you out!
