Furthermore if you begin typing dr. mercola in google the second thing that comes up is "dr. mercola fraud" and LOTS of stuff comes... not trying to disqualify the guy but sounds like an extreme conspiracy theorist.

Bill C36 is anything but a conspiracy theory, or did you forget about that one.

Scary how the US bill S.510 parallels the Canadian C-36 in basically handing over even more power to the FDA and HC and each passed without much fuss or media attention.
For the US version, farmers can no longer save seeds from a harvested crop and are forced to buy government sanctioned genetic plants - that's bad enough. The other part about government controlling alternative health is beyond a "transparent" conspiracy, it is a sad fact.

Unfortunately, until there is a change in the political structure (ruling regimes in the US/Canada), not much is going to change. I feel like when I vote it's like going to Burger King, I know I'm getting a Whopper(liers/lies, evil for me) I just can't decide if I want fries(conservatives) or onion rings(liberals/dems) they're both bad! So I started voting Green. I'm not endorsing them nor am I all that political, just fed up like most Canadians. Green sucks too, I'll only be able to buy hemp clothing and ride a bicycle etc. but atleast I'll be able to puff on my e-cig, take vitamins and get really baked if I want to :)

It is worldwide, it is not restricted to the US and us.

I don't think the world has seen a true democracy since Ancient Rome. Dollars have long since replaced public opinion. Just be thankful we don't have the same political climate as the states. Have you seen the republican candidates? Good. God.

Wipe out social security, outlaw abortions, tax the poor and give to the rich, let the uninsured die of treatable illnesses, capital punishment for everything, arrest people who speak out at public meetings, war for eternity, no privacy, constitution is meaningless, corporations have financial immunity through tax payers bailouts, destroy all unions... I could go on and on.

Canada may have it's fair share of dirty politics, but quite frankly I think it's as good as it gets for the 21st Century. Unless you move to Norway or something.

Sounds pretty much like the EU governance, wouldn't ya say.
