Hi all, I recently got a couple of these bottom coil clearos from smokeless image

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | T3 - X2 Clearomizer 808D

and I would like to get some replacement heads for them, but smokelessimage is showing that they are out of stock.

I searched around a bit and ended up foolishly buying these Kanger T3 vGo replacement heads which do not fit my Volt batteries:

Kanger T3 vGo (808D-1) Bottom Coil Head Replacement - EVcigarettes.com

^ they are almost identical to the ones I need, but very slightly smaller in diameter. :(

Does anyone know of a source for bottom coil clearo replacement heads that will fit smokelessimage Volt batteries FOR SURE?

Also, anyone think I screwed up by getting Volt PV rigs? I do enjoy them but finding compatible products seems to be a bit of a chore

Volt X2 is a nice 808 battery but finding good juice delivery systems for 808 threaded batteries will prove to be a PITA.

Most of us started with the 808 devices but soon moved to 510 batteries + mods, as the juice delivery system (clearo/tank, rba, atomizer) options are much more abundant (probably 25 times as many options).

I suggest buying a Vamo, a few Evods and a Kanger Pro Tank. Keep in mind a battery charger (Nitecore Intellicharger i4, $20 on AMAZON) and an 18650 battery (2 for about $15) will be needed.

You could buy a cheapo Trustfire TR100 charger for $8 but these only have 2 bays and take forever to recharge your battery. Nitecore has 4 bays, can charge almost any tyope of battery including AA batteries. And its pretty fast recharging.

Exhale Vapor has Vamos for less then $40.

You can also get a 808 to 510 adapter.

That's what I would suggest. You can pick one up for next to nothing. After that one little change almost everything in the vaping world would open up to you.

510 to 901/808-D Adapter

If you wanted to you could get a totally new setup, but if you're using a volt I think a vamo would be overkill. A regular joye ego or vision spinner would do you just fine. It wouldn't be nearly the investment nor as big.

It is odd that these were produced for 808's but wouldn't fit an 808. I know that the T3 product is going through some changes at the moment on the Kanger side and the bases are now being produced as a 2 part system, the base and the head which screws into it.

Have you given any thought into attempting to re-coil the original heads - which is what I began doing as not to have to depend on the supplier to consistently have what I want on hand.

It seems things are moving so quickly in this market now - and changing from one build to the next - it is difficult to pick an item you are happy with and then "poof" it's gone. Especially the vendors like SI who cater mainly to the beginner to intermediate vapor!

Is the difference where the base screws onto the battery or is the difference where it screws into the tube?

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I didn't even know it was possible to re-coil these things - that definitely sounds like something I'd like to be able to do. Any helpful links to tutorials and/or supplies? Thanks for the suggestion!!

As far as the Kanger T3 heads that don't fit - they fit the tube just fine, they just will not thread on to the battery. Very close but slightly too narrow :(

Check out YouTube. Just do a search for "kanger rebuild" and you should get a lot of results.

I found with the X2 T3 you basically have to get them from SI. They use the eGo skirt threads instead of a typical 808 thread and I have yet to find an adapter that will work to go from 510 to an 808 w/eGo. They are fairly easy to rebuild so that may be your best bet if you don't feel like grabbing new batteries.

I don't currently use my X2 T3 heads any more but they are the same as the actual Kanger T3 heads as far as rebuilding. I use Peaches and Cream cotton yarn from Walmart for the wick and small (4/40 maybe) machine screw to make the coils.
