Special request: two separate coils and 1 wick.

Manos got a hold of me and he suggested for me to try the following build:
a special 3 wicks 2 coil combo sandwich.

1 wick singled coil
1 thin wick no coil
1 wick singled coil.

GGTS
Battery 18650 AW IMR 2000mAh

He likes for me to Sandwich together on Ceramic cup adding to 1.5 ohms. @3.7 Volts.

Today I was so excited being able to buy a GGTS base for Odysseus that I gave this build a try on my Penelope. Please do not do this at home since this is my first time doing it and wanted to share my first experience with everyone.

I will be reaching out to Manos3906 again from ECF forum to check if what I did was as explained etc. Once he gets back to me and after I give it a week of full throttle Ill get back to everyone on a second video with more results and if I needed to tweak anything. In meantime please don't do this since I'm testing it I just wanted to share my first experience responses etc.

Where did you buy this digital ohmmeter you use?

Oh snap thank you BECO it was so late last night when I recorded this video. I drank like 4 bottles of Monsters just for that energy. I will update my video description later on today to include where I purchased the ohms meter.

I did buy it from Clouds of Vapor as well as Tank Meter.

Ok Manos got back to me

"my friend you did it right but you put too much wick
i have never short or anything like this
3,5 +1,5+ 3,5=8,5 mm

my way 3,5+1,5+2mm=7mm
these make the different
the upper coil tοuch at the fluid control an maybe you have a short"

Going to test it out again.

you had a short buddy, thats why your multimeter shows 0,1 ohms and thats why battery got hot. Maybe R wires touch each other.

I dont really gets it, what is the point of adding so much wick, how is that so different then double wick on a single coil or double wick on dual coil. I tried the triple but honestly the flavor and vapor is the same.
So far the best combination I've used is the single coil with double wick at 1.3ohm. best all around.

But you are the crazy bish, you got to test everything, lol pretty soon you will be call - Bishipedia. :)

You're basically making a different version of a dual coil I think. The positive wires connect together at the pin. The current runs through both coils (shielded from each other by the wick in the middle). And the negative wires both ground at the same place. I didn't notice if you wrapped them around the wick on the negative side before putting the base on. You may have, I just didn't see it.

I'm not sure where the short was, but I'm sure there was one. It could be the top coil touching the inside of the LC or maybe only 1 of the 2 negative wires was properly grounding. With thinner wicks, it might work. Good luck!

When I get home i have to make 2 videos I got to give another try at this and see if it works. I like to do what people suggest for me to do. I have to be fair. If I suggest to someone dual coil is really really really good its because its really really good. If someone says to me you need to try this because its really good. Why shouldn't I? I must, it may be real good.

Bish....it's been said but I saw what happened. Your coil went down to .1 when you attached the juice control which makes me thing your coil is shorting against your juice control. It's not a question if your coil is shorting, it is. I just have a suspicion it's hitting the juice control somewhere.

Your battery got hot because you basically asked it for 42 amps. 4.2v divided by .1 = 42. That's too much even for most IMR's.

If your ohm meter ever shows something like .1 -OR- 9.99 don't fire that coil, it's an accident waiting to happen.

Thanks buddy I'll be sure to watch that tonight when I rebuild the coils again.

Well find out tonight if I can get it to work.

that exactly happens my friend
that's why i suggest those dimension of wick's
the top coil shorted with the juice control
i wouldn't suggested to any budy to make these setup if it wasn't safe
if you make them work you will love this set up,a lot of vapor ,a lot of flavor, and great throat hit ,all in dual action:D
for the record i'm vaping that style about two month's now,(ODY& Iatty) ,never shorted,no problem at all
thank you, and forgive my bad english

Manos thank you so much I would love to make this work so I can compare with my .8 ohm Dual Coil.
I'm interested in getting the most heat I can out of 3.7 volts.

Since this is Penelope I have to make wicks a little smaller in diameter. I'll try it again tonight with some changes. I'll make sure middle wick is good enough so there is no short.

Don't worry about your English I think your English is fine and I am understanding you.
