Have compiled some guidelines to help fellow noobs (being a complete noob myself) after days of ECF, Google and Youtube trawling searching for good tips and vid-guides. This is by no means exhaustive but more than enuf to help newbies start with their very 1st vape.
Instead of spending time searching for info, here's your quick & dirty guide. I have left out some good YT urls at home which I will update later tonite.
They are not cast in stone and not necessary to follow to the tee but this is what I will do once my Ego arrives.
2. While battery is charging, clean atomizers
- Use kitchen towel to wipe of residual oils (if any) from factory to eliminate unpleasant taste
- Blow & dry
- Soak either in Alcohol or Vodka/Rum or Distilled water for 10-20mins
- Blow and dry both ends repeatedly
- Let it stand for 30mins or till completely dry
3. Check pre-filled cart and see if it’s wet. Add 1-3 drops of similar e-liquid if required
4. Drip 1-3 drops on the cleaned Atomizer to prime it
5. Assemble your e-Cig and drag & blow out a few puffs WITHOUT inhaling. This is to ensure there is no unpleasant taste.

B. Atomizer Maintenance:
1. Clean Atomizers weekly if possible
2. Watch this: same as A7
C. Cartridge Maintenance: If refilling with different flavors
1. Use toothpick to remove filler from cart
2. Soak/Wash filler in warm water till filler is clean
3. Towel dry and let it stand for awhile to ensure filler is completely dry
4. Reinsert filler into cart and fill-up with e-liquid
5. Watch this: same as A7
D. Replace filler in Carts:
1. Buy filler from Aquariums or use teabags
2. If using teabags, watch this:

E. Notes & Tips:
1. Better to use different carts for different flavors
2. Maintain ready supply of spare carts
3. Maintain cleaning discipline:
a. If reusing carts with different flavors, better to clean carts 1st
b. If refilling carts with SAME flavors, better to maintain cleaning discipline as well
4. Drink lots of water/fluid when vaping
5. Unlike analogs, take long, slow, easy (approx 3-5 seconds) drags each time to generate sufficient vapor
6. If DIY e-juice, download e-Juice iPhone/iPad app from iTunes
