There are many peeps that also have the Russian, you should be able to get a shop to bead blast the rings to come close to matching the finish....

Not sure but I'd prefer buying one that the tread quality and tolerances are maintained, basically the kits are relying on the o-rings to keep the atty together...
Definitely not a fan of plastic but not all that excited about spending $50 for a kit that all I want out of it is the rings....
That's exactly why we researched tubing with the optimum ID. If o-rings are going to hold everything together the tolerances need to be perfect. Like you most are reluctant to spend $50 on the kit. Did you see how much they want for clear replacement glass? Insanity! Not sure if I just broke the rules again lol. I'm convinced a cloned version will be available soon. If it threads on smoothly I'll be really impressed! Did I just break the rules twice in one reply?

Confirmed. It's been cloned!! I came across this regarding Quartz kits. I'm sure they'll be shipping in mass quantities

I did find a US based retailer that is carrying the aforementioned RH clone, and you won't have to wait on the overseas freight or buy 50 of them to run your initial inspection. Not sure if I can post that info here (got me wondering), but if you are curious, I could put it in a private message or an email?
I'm generally a law-abiding citizen, so, apologies if I'm getting anyone into trouble.
