Any wicking tips or coil making tips?
I've read lot of articles and watched a ton of videos and i think i have a strong handle on it and i will be able to do it properly...But personal experience is still invaluable. :)

Building a coil is easy, wicking correctly is more difficult. Lol.. no advice really.. I do rta's more than rda's as I find fill it and forget it beautiful and I'm not a high wattage vaper anyway. All you can do is jump in, watch a couple different videos of building and wicking on your specific piece of equipment, (as they are all different to some degree) and then keep trying til you have it figured out.

Okay. Thanks :)
Happy vaping :)

You said you have it at its lowest setting in terms of power? I think the slight flooding or excess juice is from drawing to much on a really open AF and not enough wattage. These monster coils wick extremely well because of the high power put through them, this wicking increases the more you pull and if the coil isn't getting completely vaporized each time, there starts to be an excess amount of juice which can spit. If you were rebuilding, you could add a touch more wicking material to coil to perhaps balance it out but it's a drop in, so sometimes increasing the wattage helps.

As i mentioned. The recommended range is from 40 to 80 and i use it at around 50. I don't think that should be a problem. What do you think?
I just meant i start very low and then gradually go up to 50.

It could be. I don't trust China for any recommendation.
It does sound like an over saturated coil with not enough power.
Some highly sweetened juices will also cause more spitting.

I actually don't vape these types of tanks or coils but vape rebuildable rta's at much lower power and it's just something that I have noticed over the years with mine. It may be worth a try, just to see, if increasing your power by maybe 10 watts would help? Each coil can be slightly different, maybe you got one with slightly less wicking material but I think my theory is sound about the slight over wicking. If it is over wicking then there is only a few things one can do. More wicking material, a longer burn, more power ,more AF, thicker juice, or one of those drip tips that have a flap underneath.

I tried once going up to 60w...but that was way too hot and it'd be hard for me to vape that high i think.
But as others have suggested I'll try it with other coils, could be a defective one.
Or perhaps they make a higher resistance one? Maybe those coils have just to much juice flow for your style of vaping

They do. There is a 0.6 one too but the airflow is very limited in that one. I had that too but i enjoy the one I'm currently using more even with spitback [emoji14]
Gotcha......have you seen those drip tips that prevent spit back? I know they make them, just not sure if you can find one to go with that tank and one that's comfortable

Atomizers spitting is as old as vaping, and as time has gone on most of the cures have been simply forgotten. A lot of the time, the products we used to prevent spitting don't even exist anymore.

I have always used Hanna's method, (HH-357 fame) and have several drip tips that have a 510 atomizer bridge stuck up inside them. And, I still say that a "spark arrester" is still the ideal solution because you are not going to stop a coil that wants to spit from spitting.

The hh 357 was the bomb . I remember when I bought one for the first time, how awesome they were and that I had the latest and greatest dripping atty ever

I am not sure if this was mentioned but do you often open and close the top fill cap? I noticed when I first got my baby beast that when I would fill, no matter how much I fill, after closing the cap, my first couple hits are much heavier. Kind of like an over saturated wick. Then after a few hits it would level itself off. Then when I had a gunky poorly wicking coil that is a couple weeks old, I tried opening and closing the fill cap and that would draw more juice into the wick. (I just wanted to finish off the tank before changing coils).

Sorry but I'm not sure i understand what you're saying here. Could you rephrase it?
    What's hh357 and what's a spark arrester?

Well i open it only when i have to refill. Why would anyone open it otherwise?
But i think i understand what you're saying. Maybe its a design flaw or something?
