Doesn't happen with round wire builds but fused claptons it does ...when I purge I lose flavor and almost a burnt taste

Too high wattage, too low wattage, liquid built up on coils seem to be common causes of spitback, losing flavor or burnt sounds like coil placement and airflow issue.

I have the same problem few weeks ago
its happen when I use "fancy" khantal coil that have pocket keep liquid like clapton and stagger
then I try ordinary Ni80 wire 24 g,6 wraps tight,with the proper wattage not to low not to high I found less spitback
ah also dont put your coil to low especially if you use rda.

If you're talking about the drop Rda i've been using one for a while now, i mostly use clapton coils and i've had maybe one time where it spitback.
When you finish dripping give it just a pulse so that anything that wants to fly does without it being in your mouth,that's what i do most times and 0 issues here.

These 810 drip tips on Fasttech have a solid bottom with airflow holes and they virtually eliminate spit back. They do give a somewhat restricted lung hit but I find them effective.
