I've noticed my titan tank get spitty or leaky after a few straight minutes, but the wicking is perfect in it and it it's only a bit after extending use.

After tearing it down for a cleanup and to tighten a loose chimney section, I noticed it was POURING darker juice build up from the chimney and around the drip tip. I was wondering if someone with more Titan experience may have pointers on how to tackle this build up to prevent spitting and leaking.

I’m an aromamizer plus rather than titan user so I’m not sure how accurate my assessment might be, but if this was a plus I’d say either your wicking wasn’t as perfect as you think it is, or you’ve got a gasket problem somewhere.

Yeah, upon talking to the other guy in my shop who has used a titan for longer, he said it might have been slight under wicked, or just excessive condensation build up. Rewicked it and there is less build up, bit it's also a slightly dryer hit sadly.

Dunno. Whatever it is, it expands when moistened and scorches more easily.
It does have much shorter fibers which are of more variable length, and the chemical composition is slightly different. The biggest thing as I understand it is single rayon fibers stretch the entire length of the rope.

I picked up that 10% anecdote from a Nile Red chemistry video. I found a few sites that seem to support it, like this one that talks about proteins, acids, minerals, sugars, and waxes. Another site compares cotton to rayon in detail using technical language, and it appears that they do differ substantially on a microscopic level as you stated, which probably accounts for most of the difference in wicking performance. Rayon is a semi-synthetic that undergoes a good deal of processing to achieve greater purity and consistency.
