I ordered a ten meter roll each of twisted 30 gauge and twisted 28 gauge kanthal wire from a seller from ebay a few weeks ago. The cost was like seven bucks a piece with free shipping which seemed reasonable to me, saves me the work of twisting the wire myself. When they arrived I was surprised to see that they were made by Youde, a very well known manufacturer of several e-cig related items (as I'm sure most of you know). When I went to their website I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have a very nice selection of these spools of twisted wire (they call them roll coils), 32-22 gauge, double, triple, and quad twisted, they even have clapton wire as well as a pretty interesting tiger-style wire. Two nights ago I ordered five meters each of quad twisted 30 gauge and the clapton wire from the same ebay seller and that same day I found a site (Vape NW) selling these guys as well, so I got the tiger-style wire and the triple twisted 28 gauge.
Just wanted to share the info with the rest of you guys, I find it infinity awesome that someone is offering spools of pre-twisted wire. I did some twisted wire myself in the past with varying degrees of success, but I ended up going back to standard single wire because I lacked the time and patience (I would be so eager to build and vape that I would get sloppy haha). I can finally go back to some twisted builds without having to worry about busting out the power drill and doing it myself. I've done a 1.1 ohm single coil build with the twisted 28g in my lemo and a 0.6 ohm single parallel coil build with the twisted 30g in my Mutation X V3, both blow the builds I was using before completely out of the water. I can't wait to get the other rolls and build on my other RBAs!
