Went to clean under my spring on my LP Grand and tore up the tiny philips screw head. It's not totally misshapen but the screw is so tight that I can't get it to budge. Was thinking of using the spiral screw extractor pictured below to see if that would work. Thought I'd check to see if any of you have had the same problem before and what worked for you.

May just send it to the spa and get a new 510 connector at the same time but first things first.

Thanks!

Other possibilities... Reo upside down on a towel to protect it, hold a phillips screwdriver tight against the screw head with force turning in the counter clockwise direction, tap on the end of the screw driver with a hammer to break it free..... or cut a straight slot across the screw head if it's too damaged and try the same with a screwdriver that fits the slot.... or just apply pressure to the screw head and try to turn the spring base to break it free..... or just send it to the spa..... or just buy another Reo. ;)
