Im interested in joining the squonking world. My question : is it in any way related to a mech kod? Or is there something extra i'd need to know before using a squonker? Cause i have no clue of how these work and i want to be on the safe side. Thanks.

That depends on which squonker you get. You can get either mechanical or regulated squonkers.
What type of mod are you using now? You will need to build/wick your own coils in a bottom feed rda, so how are your building skills? 
Mine suck (i.e., lazy
), so I grabbed the Pico Squeeze mod for my first squonker, as it is dirt cheap (~$15 from China retailers) and, although it is basically mech-like, it does have battery protections that mechs don't... No huge commitment, if squonking is not for you. Pair it with a 22mm rda and it's a nice setup.
