I just got a RSST as well and put a ceramic wick on it and some ribbon kanthal and it was ok but on my 2nd try I used stainless steel rope with a sleeve of xc-116 ceramic wick on it and lets just say its a foggy night in San Francisco tonight. I haven't seen this set-up before but seems to work great. Its 1/32 XC-116 Ceramic Wick Kiln Treated over 3/32" Diameter 316 Stainless Steel Wire Rope 7 X 7 Strand Core, . Kind of tricky 2 get the xc-116 over the SS cable but not that hard. The xc-116 runs the full length of the wick. Came up with this Idea a while back and think its pretty good for my 2nd rba. Give it a try.
