Titanium wire isn't all that bad. You just need to be very... VERY VERY VERY VERY careful with it. Any signs of oxidizing, replace it. If I remember right, not only is titanium oxide very poisonous, but also very flammable

I have heard it was poisonous but it did not appear to be flammable. No matter how much I dry burned that coil it never caught fire, it just built up more of the white flaky stuff. This was a fresh coil that had never been wicked or wet.

(As long as you don't actually vape the coils, of course.)

The thing about titanium is you can't dry burn it w/o getting the dioxide coating. I use Ti wire in some of my devices but I just replace the coil when it gets too gunky. There is still some debate about whether the titanium dioxide actually comes off the coil and into the vapor, but I don't want to chance it. (I always remember Dr. Farsalinos' comments on diacetyl and "avoidable risk".)
